GGG's new interview for Bild(german newspaper):

"Sturm can fight for his former belt right now. I am ready to fight him in Germany and we can do 50/50 split."

Sturm should take the fight, cash out on his career or restart it with a great win, then retire into leading his promoting company. But he won't.

I really believe Golovkin wants to fight everybody right now.

Funny though, people will say Golovkin has balls for calling out Sturm, but Geale will be criticized for taking on Soliman.

I've seen statistic of his last fight, the worst number of viewers he ever had. He ****ing SHOULD take the fight.

Any else got a feeling that Sturm will show us GGG's weaknesses and perform very well early then gets overwhelmed late?

Its difficult to look good against Sturm, he got some controversial fights because of his style. He is over-defensive and throws not so many punches, so he doesnt take punishment, but also doesnt score. Perfect style, if you fight in Germany, haha

Considering GGG is a puncher-boxer who wears you down, you're always going to have your best moment early. The only realistic weakness I see Sturm bringing out is low GGG connect % upon Felix shelling up in fear of his health. You see Golovkin loves a jabber because he can counter it or time it with his own, and he's up all over the jabber before he knows what hit him. How troubling GGG's style for Sturm is evident by his no-show for years, and that really pissed Golovkin up who's willing to buy himself into beating Catic up. What a GGG!

After he's hopefully done with Sturm, Daniella Geale is next.

I hope the fight gets made it would still be the best opponent GGG would have fought

By a distance, although that just shows the level of opponent GGG has been fighting more than anytthing.

And Sturm has arguably lost 4 of his last 5 fights

    X 2

    X 2

I scored Macklin wide to Macklin 118-110.
    Thought Murray draw was fair.
    Geale won their fight close.
    Haven't seen Soliman yet...

Abraham is a better fight money wise and I feel Sturm's chances are better against AA even though I see him losing in both. He won't take it.

geale has to take on soliman. if he doesnt he vacates and loses his main bargaining chip

'calling out' is usually the realm of lesser fighters who want a free feed off of fighters who have achieved more and taken more risks, but with G and sturm it isn't

G has network backing, which is a powerhouse negotiating tool, while sturm has never been more than a paper champ who never had an interest in moving his career forward

lifeline for sturm, but if geale wasn't 'obligated' to fight soliman, sturm wouldn't be on G's radar

be a good fight, but it's pointless as sturm has lost the last 2 fights.
