i know GGG has said he will fight anyone from 154-168 though it should be worth mentioning for his fight with rubio his fight night weight was recorded at 173

to put this into perspective a big 154 fighter like canelo weighed 172 vs trout and 170 vs angulo

i think 154 would prob hinder GGG

froch is almost as irrelevant as ward now. both have reduced themselves into semi retirees. same with kessler.

in an interview with froch and groves leading up to their rematch froch admited he wanted none of GGG stating he is in the later stages of his career it would just be a stupid move to face someone like him

To me, he would be better, at 154. Faster and with a better stamina and workrate. He already looks heavy at 160.
If you watch his amateur fights, when he was much lighter, he had an impressive handspeed.

yeh well that may have been achievable at a younger age as you said. his 160 run can be summed up with "if it aient broke dont fix it" and like i stated in my original post the man rehydrated to 173 on fight night, i think he would be on the cusp of being to big for 154

Yep and therefore impossible to predict how he would do there or if he could even make weight.

Why didnt Hagler ever chase a fight with Michael Spinks.

So...? That would have been, what, a decade ago?

Plenty of pro fighters have fought in the amateurs several divisions south of their current stomping grounds.

As a pro, he has never.

I doubt GGG makes 154 the guys been a pro for 8 years and has never fought below 160, basic common knowledge is it's harder to lose weight than to gain it.
