GGG is an elite athlete. He could easily fight @ 168 if he wants to fight there. But he is a natural MW for sure.

What annoys me most about the situation is that the excuse touted at the time was that GGG's first and foremost goal was to unify the division and that is why he couldn't move up. REMEMBER that GGG and his team have claimed in 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 that he could beat anyone between 154-168. Well, he never unified, looks like he will never unify, and to date his biggest challenge have been a fighter who was a cancer survivor who was KTFO, and KD by a feather fisted fighter, and another fighter who save one fight had never fought above 155, let alone fought anyone credible above that weight.

Now suddenly that Ward is not a realistic opponent, the unifying is not a priority.

Awww... GGG didn't have any issues fighting a Welterweight and a bunch of JrMWs throughout his career.

But that's just MW in general.. It's always been that way.

What the **** were Bhop opponents Simon Brown, Trinidad, Oscar, Wright, Lupe Aquino, Carl Daniels etc??? Former WWs & LMWs

'Yeah but Bhop moved up doe'.. Let me know how you know GGG won't at 40?!

    LOL

GGG had zero challenges at MW before last year. He had an opportunity to fight Ward at 168. He was however MORE than willing to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at 168, but not Ward.

He could have. That's why he called him out since 2012. Ward meanwhile commentated GGGs fights on HBO and fought Rodriguez instead.

The only time Ward showed interest years later was 30 minutes after the Lemieux fight was signed, only to become a LHW afterwards, when GGG knew Ward would never be willing to fight him.

I disagree, he did have genuine threats & worked his way into becoming mandatory for them all (Martinez, Cotto, Alvarez etc) but they chased the $$$ & swerved him instead, until Alvarez couldn't take the ridicule anymore & signed.. Pirog too actually! Not GGGs fault he pulled out injured..

He may have gotten his biggest challenges at the latter part of his reign, Jacobs, Alvarez, Lemieux etc (maybe Charlo too) but so be it, at least he's finally getting them..

    Shook? Silly.
I do not see GGG being big enough for light heavy and Ward was never a good matchup for GGG, particularly due to the size difference. A good big man beats the good smaller man 9x outta 10. Still wish that fight came together anywhere between 2012-2015. Intriguing.

Man your hatred for GGG is scarey. I can see why you hate him though IUts because he is so far superior to your Ginger Headed pretender
Firstly it take TWO to make a fight Look how long it took GGG to eventually get Ginger in the ring. They finally embarrassed Fishnets so bad he HAD to finally agree.
He got Ginger juiced to the gills, got Bob Bennett & the NSAC & Vegas boxing officials on board first. Even with all that the best they could do was give Clenelo a bogus DRAW he did not deserve
Then Clenelo got out of the rematch by popping dirty for Clenbutrol. Another reprieve for Ginger giving him tiome to get his knee surgery done. Very convenient wasn't it ?? lol
Now they swear Clenelo is coming in 100% clean hmm ??
Lets see who the officials are?? Surely in all fairness GGG should choose them this time NO ????
Again GGG HAS to KO or stop Canelo to get the win I sincerely hope he does just that Give Ginger the beating he deserves theb finally KO ing him !!!!!!! WAR GGG !!!!
