Sugar Ray was never a MW he took Hagler after Hagler got older and slower, Sugar said that himself. Sugar Ray had coins in his underwear at the weight in to make MW because he never was so heavy.

Thats why its Hagler not Sugar Ray Leonard you should compare.

How do you see a GGG-SRR and GGG-Hagler fight going?

Base this on your assumption of how good you think GGG really is as a pure boxer and fighter and what legacy you think his road will bring him to rather than based on their current accomplishments.

    Additionally, GGG-Monzon and GGG-Hopkins?

    based on him beating Lemieux?

    Yeah.

Lets at least wait till Gennady beats an elite fighter, his best win is Curtis Stevens.

Why wouldn't GGG be durable enough to at least lose with dignity (meaning last the distance)? He wouldn't be the first guy to last the distance with SRR, especially at middleweight. Just trying to be realistic.

Maybe. Leonard shoe-shined his way to a win that night and Hagler let him. That doesn't mean that Golovkin would beat the Hagler that Leonard fought though.

GGG vs SRR - SRR Late stoppage - 15 rounds.
GGG vs Hagler - Hagler - points - wide.
GGG vs Monzon - Monzon - points - close.
GGG vs Hopkins - Hopkins - points - wide. Bernard makes it his kind of fight .

GGG is good but these are the best 4 of all time.

golovkin is the most disciplined fighter of them 5.

these comparings ARE and WILL be till the end of days pure nostalgic nonsense.

regardless what people say or not say, if ggg continues to win in that dominant fashion, he will go down as best middleweight ever and thats because he has a huge worldwide fanbase. exception of floyd the fanbase of US fighters is very poor.

The "most disciplined"? Highly subjective and very debatable.

"Nostalgic nonsense"? Sure - Because we older folk, who actually watched some or all of these guys in action, can't help but misconstrue the evidence before us.

If a "huge worldwide fanbase" is all it takes to become the best [whatever-weight] ever then let's forget the past and, from now on, count every new fighter that rises to the top of their division as an automatic ATG and the best in their class to have ever entered a Boxing ring. Let's forget their level of opposition; the Quality of their wins (and even the Quality of their losses), i.e. who they beat or lost against; their methods of victory/loss etc etc. Because, with the power and reach of the internet and the myriad of flag-waving fanatics around the globe, with little or no knowledge of the sport, any Boxer can now become the next TBE.

Fortunately, the writing of the annals in Boxing history is left to the intelligentsia and not to the sport's nauseatingly dull-witted and narrow-minded groupies.

Leonard is a better fighter then Golovkin pound for pound, but Golovkin is a bigger stronger man, I can see him beating Leonard.

Leonard moved up in weight from welter to middle defeated Hagler because Hagler gave away the first 3-4 rounds. After that, Leonard fought to steal rounds.

GGG gives his man no quarter. Ray would be in for a long night, and likely lose.
