Ward NEVER made a serious offer to GGG. As far as Lara, Canelo will be KOing him at 154. Lara brings nothing to GGG, as he is vitrually unknown outside of boxing enthusiasts. Canelo, on the other hand would bring both $$ and is reputable.

Stevenson called Ward out live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 175 or even at 168, but Ward refused to even answer him. Ward will not fight Kovalev either. Ward appears to be tied up in court anyway, he should retire...........

if he isn't as good as the last guy or the next then doesn't that bolster the point i'm trying to make?

Calzaghe would have beaten Ward, but Ward only fights in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc. Ward beat Kessler on an intentional, illegal headbutt, should have been disqualified, but that's why Ward has his own personal referee. Yes, illegal headbutt, but it's only illegal if one of Ward's opponents headbutts, everything is legal for SOB Ward............Ward is still running from Stevenson.................

no, because he's still #1 in between. nobody since has come close to srr, does that mean we don't have a true welter champ?

That's kinda backwards thinking... He's the champ, ain't he? If you want to make a claim as the best in the division, you have to beat him...

If I were champ, I would sit on it until someone stepped up to the plate. I wouldn't go chasing after anybody

I don't agree with that at all. You want to be considered a great, you keep chasing. Never become complacent.

"You guys make these guys out to be bogeymen and monsters. We as fighters, we don't think like that. I respect (Golovkin), but I see holes in his game. ... Ask them if they want it at 168 (pounds) right now. I don't see them asking for that. I see them saying anybody from 160 to 175, but when they're pressed, I don't see him calling me out. Stop beating around the bush and get straight to it."

Keep chasing who though? You're the champ. You're the finish line. Everyone must come to you. Who are you chasing?

I think Kovalev is more proven than GGG. He's beaten more top guys, like Cleverly, Campillo, and Thompson.

Fighters use marketing ploys, who cares? As long as he is willing to fight the best at 160 I'm happy.
