Who keeps fighting bums in jokeland. Blatant duck. Ggg is bang on the money here. Ward stock has just gone down massively. Ggg has just turned himself into a bad boy.
If he said that, those are fighting words. Golovkin doesn't have an opponent for the fall. His team should push for a fight with Ward. They can fight in LA.
Golovkin's team says he is a star now and they have been bragging about how he sold 12,000 tickets at the Forum in LA against Willie Monroe. Surely ticket sales wouldn't be a problem. You have both these guys talking trash to each other, Golovkin says he'll fight anyone from 154-168, they're both undefeated, A level, champs, and they both need opponents for the fall. I see no reason for the fight not to happen.
I've never seen anyone from HBO say anything like that. Anyway, Ward is returning this week, and he says Golovkin has 8 or 9 excuses why he won't fight him. Those are fighting words as well. Both guys should be pushing for this fight.
But if he sold 12,000 tickets at the Forum against Willie Monroe, then why would the live gate be lower against Ward? That makes zero sense.
Wrap your mind around that..... a guy who was once considered by some to be the #2 lb4lb guy in the sport.... I would like to take this moment to laugh uncontrollably at the disaster that has become Ward's career.
Interesting, so now Willie Monroe is a bigger draw than Ward. I guess Ward just isn't a big enough name for Golovkin; who only fights good draws.
So again, Ward is not a big enough draw for Golovkin. It's perfectly acceptable for Golovkin to sidestep top level fighters because they don't draw enough. That's fine, but it's a standard that has to be universal.
I'm a huge ggg fan and I'd love to see him fight ward.he's 33 and in his prime....he needs top fights now.and it doesn't seem like anyone other than ward is willing to fight him.if he could beat ward he would should into the top 3 p4p
GGG better call out someone else, I don't see Floyd fighting GGG for less than money than a Canelo, Cotto or Pac rematch.
