All these forum theories are wonderful reading. But the reality is until someone good enough comes along GGG will simply continue to knock guys out and dominate.

You can win rounds, for sure, but I think you'd need to have an incredible chin/power combination to keep him off you for the 12 rounds. Not sure there's many out there who can combine those traits with the fleet footedness and speed Brook showed.

Would probably need to move up in weight to make it an interesting fight, I think. Someone like DeGale could take him a long way in a fight, I think - but I still think GGG would come out on top. Froch v GGG at 168 would have been awesome, but again I think GGG comes out on top - although Froch hits hard enough to keep him off him for spells.

Sad thing about GGG's situation is that if non of the top fighters line up to fight him he's gonna end up losing to some bum after being past it since hes already past his 30's or if he's smart he is gonna end up retiring with no great wins.

Yeah he hurt him. After the second round GGG's corner was cleaning up the blood from his nose. Even Hopkins and Lampley was screaming, he's hurt!!. He halted GGG's forward progress for a minute and that in itself speaks to the respect for Kell's punching power. GGG felt that uppercut, that straight right and that check left hook. His face registered it but his mind wouldn't accept it and he kept coming. Brook should have met him at the gate with a charge of his own that was as equally determined and vicious. We may have seen a different fight. After that fight, I'm not counting out Jacobs or Saunders.

I hear you and you are right on in your statement about chin and power combination. The key is to stop his forward progress at all costs. Ring generalship is a must, you can't allow him to dictate the fight or its a done deal.

Since when is halting your opponents forward progress an indication that they are hurt? It means it caused him to recalibrate his attack.

Whereas Golovkin was landing and Brook was gritting his teeth in pain. Wobbling, and just getting completely destroyed. A few more rounds and Brook is sipping from a straw to intake his nutrients right now. Now that is power.

You can outbox, out power, or outwork Ggg, but for how long? That's the problem. Against Monroe Jr, Brook, and Ouma, he wasn't respecting their power and wasn't using that beautiful jab he was using against Lemieux. But even tho he can box, against certain fighters he won't, instead trying to force a fight.

GGG's feet are too good the only way to stay off the ropes is to stand toe to toe and slug with him in the middle of the ring
