Today is the deadline. They either agree on A WEIGHT or Canelo has to be stripped. 158 would not be a problem for GGG. 157 may be fine. I wouldn't give up an ounce more than that, because Golovkin has to stop Canelo to avoid dealing with corrupt judges.

GGG will eventually force Canelo to vacate and that's will be the end of the story.

You can be sure that it is not Golovkin himself twitting as @GGGboxing. It either his manager or Loefler.

Fuuuck you guys and this bulll****, nobody said a thing when Mayweather murdered Canelo with a brutal catchweight.

That memory is seared into the kid's head and now he's gonna sweat all these motherfukers down to whatever weights he wants. This dirty BS cost him his perfect record and there's no talking him out of it now that he's the draw.

Because of this i can't hate on what he's doing. .

He shouldn't have a perfect record anyway, as he lost to Trout and Lara.

lol that cuban puss is still ****ing blood after getting that body seared for 12rds. Probably legs still cramping from all the running too!

Trout HIMSELF says he lost that fight...

    WAR CANELO!

Canelo likes to bully smaller guys and is afraid to fight boxers of his own size.

I agree though I blame the Champ for forcing it. Personally I will only be peeved at GGG if its below 158, because I think theres enough evidence to support him being able to make 158 safely.

Anything lower, and it risks a bad weight cut - which is frankly not fair to the paying fans to put the fight in the hands of dieticians.

I'm withholding judgement on the whole affair until it plays out though. If the Canelo fight doesn't get made, but K2 is able to secure a WBO unification next or after IBF mando then who cares.

Unfortunately the GGG-DL PPV didn't do well enough to give K2 the leverage to make things happen. It is what it is.

This entire saga is complete and utter BS. That's what happens when you have a weak governing body who pick and choose when they want to implement the rules to suit them, and to protect their cash cows.

If Golovkin's team are true to their word that they only care about grabbing the belts, then they should just stick to their principles, not give in to this Caneloweight complete BS and let the WBC strip the diva.

GGG and his team should not be giving them a pound. It is simple, either demand the fight be at 160 or get the lineal title without fighting. This CW title fights garbage has to stop. Frankly I'm sick of it and losing interest already, so it's no wonder people are turned off boxing.

I don't even classify boxing as a sport anymore, .... it's purely a business, who gives a **** about the fans, and it's really quite sad.

Where are you getting the numbers for Golovkin from? He walks around at 185 before camp, not fight night.

His fight weight is AT MOST 172-175

GGG's highest weight ever was 174lbs against Murray. He's been 170 for every single other fight - including lemieux
