Obviously the scenario you describe is far from impossible.

Once again, that's possible, but Chepo being a former butcher only increases the blame on Team Canelo as a whole. If Canelo was trusting Chepo then Chepo ought to be sacked.

To be honest Canelo does seem to have gained muscle since then to my eyes. But as I said, I'm not a great believer in the drug eye-test.

Here I think you are mistaken though, GBP have definitely endorsed the contaminated meat storyline:

Golden Boy have moved to attribute the result to meat contamination, with support from the laboratory that conducted the tests. The Mexican fighter attended a voluntary drugs test before his rematch with multiple world middleweight champion Golovkin, which is still scheduled to take place as planned.

“As part of the voluntary testing programme that Canelo Álvarez insisted on ahead of his 5 May fight, one of his results came back positive for trace levels of clenbuterol, consistent with meat contamination that has impacted dozens of athletes in Mexico over the last years,” read a statement from Golden Boy Promotions.

In fact, the first I saw of the whole issue was the GBP statement which immediately said it was contaminated meat.

And because it is so well-known, aren't you a little suspicious that Canelo's team apparently didn't do everything they could to protect their fighter from eating contaminated meat? Or maybe they didn't get the meat memo?

I know that in the initial release GBP cited the lab director's statement that the sample was said to be consistent with contaminated meat and it mentioned that contaminated meat is a problem in Mexico that's affected dozens of athletes.

But when you said GBP "immediately said was contamianted meat". They didn't though, they didn't say it was due to contaminated meat, only that it may be due to contaminated meat. What do you expect them to do, not reference the lab director's statement?

GBP relayed the information that the lab director stated when the test was made public. I'm just pointing out that Canelo's team or GBP haven't come out and stated that it was in fact due to contaminated meat. Clenbuterol's known link to contaminated meat in Mexico is what created the contaminated meat storyline inherently from the get-go. Much of the public by and large is acting like Canelo or his team or GBP is trying to use contaminated meat as an excuse and they really haven't. It may turn out that is the reason they give, but at this point they really haven't made it clear that it was from contaminated meat. That said, I, like you, want to know what they say caused the positive test, and I agree with Sanchez that they or the NSAC should make it clear what the reason given is and if there is any way to verify that he ate contaminated meat. (if in fact that is what they say happened)

This is a language issue. English is a weak second language for him. I am amazed they do not provide him with a translator each time he is interviewed. You can tell by his responses that he only partly understands what is being asked and he is only partly able to give a limited response. Not smart. Get a translator in there who can say exactly what he believes.

I disagree to the extent that he only partly understands what he is being asked about. I think he has demonstrated in that interview, bizzare as it was, that he fully understands what he's been asked and in his english he appeared to communicate what he believes and thinks about the situation fully and directly.

He confirmed that he was shown photos of Canelo showing injection marks, he made it clear that it doesn't matter to him what Canelo is on, etc. He may not speak english fluently, but it seems pretty clear to me that he understands fully what he was asked and gave on-topic direct responses.

He understands the gist of what is being asked but he cannot specifically state in English what he believes should be done. That is why there are apparent contradictions in his responses. Get a translator.

I think he's conflicted and doesn't want to come off as someone who doesn't want the fight to happen. He wants that payday and also wants to keep in tact his view of being a fighter who doesn't back down from anyone.

The problem is he failed TWO . The first failed test was not consistent to tainted meat!

Golovkin won the first fight clearly. Oscar owned the judges, referee, boxing commission and Bob Bennett, call 702-486-2575 and tell Bob Bennett and his Nevada Boxing commission that you want a fair fight this time with neutral judges, referee, boxing commission. El Pollo is planning on landing lots of low blows to Golovkin's testicles like Ward did to Kovalev, Hopkins indicated that, do not let Tony Weeks referee, demand Pabon as the referee, he will not allow low blows! El Pollo has been practicing low blows in the gym like Ward did before the Kovalev fight, El Pollo has to cheat to win, watch the hand wraps, the PEDS, etc. this fight is going to be corrupt. Golovkin has to go for the knockout, he must have a really strong cup to protect his testicles, no joke! This is what to watch for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU_ZZsYyYmgManage

Guess what Shadow, you can pull that story wherever you live, suppose Tyson Furey got it from eating tainted meat too right?
It’s not even an excuse anymore and you don’t seem very sure yourself, let me explain, you said that any effects from the PED would be negligible from tainted meat but at the same time you tried to excuse the massive levels Canelo was caught with as appose to Contador by saying Canelos piece of meat mus5 of been drenched in the stuff, which is it Shadow?

Stop trying to make things fit,it never works.

Just saying that you don't and acting hurt won't work Shadow. Your post history would be evidence enough to show you do exactly the opposite to which you just stated. You may be an über fan. You may be paid I don't know or care. The first paragraph was meant to be a bit of fun. I don't know the reasons why you post. Just like I don't know why I like boxing anymore! It's gone the way of every sport. Fake bull**** to rip fans of their hard earned cash. Over paid premadonnas everywhere and I have no problem including GGG in that list. Probably Freemasons or some such. They wouldn't **** on you if you were on fire. However a failed test by all rules should lead to a ban. No ifs or buts. The only people who seem to get away with it are the superstars. I.e Saul Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather, Lance Armstrong, Bradly Wiggins, Chris Froome, USA Olympic team pre 90s, to name a few. These guy have some sort of immunity because of their stature. I actually think it's more to do with the fact they are media icons with massive influence. The media, or the oligarchs who own the media, decide who the build up, who they protect and, in the end who they shoot down. I do hope you feel well within yourself and all the best.
