I like how, for your sanity and sake, you've created a fake back story where I lose sleep over a message board debate and Golovkin .....that to me is hilarious

To accept any offer this early is just silly. If the fight actually takes place (I don't think it will till Gennady deteriorates) I am willing to bet Golovkin is willing to settle for 25/75 in favor to Alvarez. So if this fight is a 40 million dollar event Golovkin's split will be in line with the flat fee. If it's a 80 million dollar then both guys get rewarded APPROPRIATELY.

I just don't think Alvarez wants any part of Golovkin anytime soon. The dude has the kind of power and style that takes years off of your career.

I actually agree....that flat offer has golden boys projection for the ppv built in and Golvokin getting a share ...that's prob around what he'd get .....Golovkin might ask for some sort of extra money if ppv buys reach a certain number ...,that would be fair

Why is it silly? Both fighters will get the money they signed the contract on, even if it's next year. What? you think if they sign a deal that Canelo will somehow back out and demand more money? That's a breach of contract, and even if the money is substantially more for GBP to work with By the time the fight comes around next year, that just means they could use that money to stack the undercard, resulting in more revenue from the PPV and gate. Equaling more money for Both Canelo and GGG.

Ggg should say "I'll take that but in the event we hit x amount of buys I want a few more bucks "....golden boy might even take that ...but they aren't going to offer him more and then have the fight do under their projection ...,that's just bad business

The 10 mil is fair ....it has a real good ppv projection built into it

 

Canelo is the draw no matter how you GG fans feel or what you think his worth might be. They will pay to watch Canelo. They won't pay to watch GG. They will pay to watch Canelo face anyone. And they will come out in droves to watch Canelo if they think that he is in danger. GG brings anywhere from 72, 000 fans to maybe 100,000 fans depending on what you believe. 75-25 is an appropriate %tage for GG in favor of Canelo.

 

Then you agree that Golovkin deserves a percentage instead of a flat rate?
