IMO the fight is a middleweight fight and should be made at 160 both fighters free to come in at what weight they want as long as its 160 or below

    what if situation

the fight is made at 155 as many of the posters want and at the weigh in GGG weighs in at 156.5 unable to shift any more

is all the big promotion PPV /TICKET SALES etc etc out the window / is GGG stripped for not making middleweight ?

what would posters who support canelo want to happen in this situation?

Simple, Canelo is no Floyd Mayweather. Losing to Floyd gets you mainstream recognition. Mayweather has way more star power than Canelo. People practically beg for a Mayweather or PAC fight whether they have belts or not. If Canelo dropped the belt would GGG even care about fighting him?

yes i agree with all your points
this is what would happen which is why the fight if made should take place at the middleweight limit

if canelo wishes to fight at 155 then drop a lb and campaign as a light middle.

IF GGG stepped up to 168 and said to carl froch /he would meet him at 161 i would say thats **** as well

theres alot of bs in the sport....you just have to deal with it

i actually think canelos stance is worse than floyd asking for a drug test....but its almost similar in the way ggg fans are making it seem like its ok for ggg to let the fight go by.....the sport is imperfect....accept it......sack up and make a sacfrifice....when its over ggg should be in position to never have to make one again

If Canelo would just fight at 160 he wouldn't have to go thru those long training camps and maybe have some more time to practice boxing. Wasn't his training for Cotto almost 3 months? Turning into a fat camp soon like the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy which is an infamous fat camp. I'm curious what Canelo weighs in between fights?

i think he could make 155

but there is no reason why he should try it

    only for a Mayweather fight

I don't see why 155 is a problem, I remember a few years back he was willing to meet Rosado at a catchweight but Rosado agreed to 160 instead.

Ward said he would make 160 for Floyd but couldn't accommodate 164 for GGG. We can go in circles forever with this stuff so just stop now.

oh sweet jesus....yer still actually talking about ward/may like it was ever possible...like even 1 percent possible....it wasnt...was never possible and realistic....never...it was just talk

ggg wasnt just talking..he was begging for a big fight between 3 divisions and him making any of those divisions isnt a stretch......floyd was never fighting andre ward.....ever...
