It's getting harder to defend the man. Hopefully the Eubank Jr fight gets made. But after that there is no one left. No one. Jacobs= scared Quillin = moving to 168 Canelo= who cares? Lee= 3 times beaten. His chin gets cracked again Saunders= terrified Maybe a fight with Avntandil Khurtsidze. That would be a good s****. But that's it. Golovkin would then be ordered to defend against Jorge Heiland lol and then Tureano Johnson. I would even bother wasting my Saturday night watching those fights. Just DVR and see later. At least 168 has Degale, Groves, Jack, Andre Dirrell, Anthony Dirrell. Zurdo is a bit too big I think. All these fights would be sellouts and would generate big ratings. Staying in Bumland is a waste of time. He's too good against the other 160 pound fighters and would be a waste. Just imagine he fights EUBANK, Heiland and Johnson. Terrible
Hagler had Mugabe, an undefeated KO beast. He had the legendary Leonard and Hearns fights. GGG has no equivalents. Don't forget Hagler retired by 35 and GGG is 34. The junior middles won't be moving up to 160 for a few more years. By the time Andrade, Charlo and J Williams will be ready for GGG he will be 36. Too late
whats that worth really? ive seen lil g fans go on dismiss Hopkins mw resume...and I agree...its not good if Hopkins stopped fighting when he was done at mw he would maybe half as regarded as he is....hes considered a legend an atg for what he did after it why do you guy always reference Hopkins as if doing something he already did assures lil g legendary status?
That's fine. But look at who he has to defend his titles against. If Jacobs, Canelo and Saunders were open to fight then it would be different. GGG vs Tureano or Heiland are just terrible.
You do know Jack was stopped in a round of Derek Edwards, who 2 fights previous had been knocked out by Korobov don't you?
If Floyd Mayweather would have stayed at 140 just smashing his opposition he would NEVER be where he is today. Same with Pacman. Same with Mosley. Same with RJJ.
eubanks resume suggests hes not much better of a choice....hes just younger and has a name....he looks more of the part than either of those guys...but nothing hes done in a boxing ring suggests hes a much bette choice than Johnson or heiland
imagine if Miguel cotto stayed at 140 and just fought otkay urkal and the branco brother over and over?
But he hasn't fought them. And whilst they aren't great they are on par with the Robert Allen, Morrade Hakkar's of this world.
