Groves Murray was not close to 50-50, groves dominated him easily

 

Blinded by the truth. Hopkins is a product of the USA hype machine.

Struggled with Pascal, struggled with Dawson the same fighters who are bottom feeders of the top 10 today.

And remember Hopkins was a natural 175 fighter who boiled down.

Best wins at 175 are against naturally smaller men made to move up.

Even if you believe it was not once did Murray have any success against Golovkin. The same cannot be said for Groves.

 

Sure except Hopkins first appeared on p4p top 10 lists in 1999 at the age of 34 and had his best wins after that. Golovkin is 34. He still has time doesn't he?

 

Hopkins is lauded by the world of boxing....emphasis on "world"....only a loser from a country that lost in soccer to Iceland would think Hopkins is a product of anything other than grit, hard work and determination

problem is....he doesn't seem to be willing to take on fights he wouldn't be a clear favorite in....him going to 175 to take on ward/kova winner is a major stretch

there is no calzaghe at 168 for him either

 

So too is Golovkin, only by the jealous demographic is he not and to be truthful I don't think he knows who you are...

if lil g quit in two years hed be talked about as a slightly better sven ottke

nobody will ever put lil g ahead of Hopkins on an ATG list...in fact I dunno if lil g will even come close to making a top 100 on anyones list unless he fights nothing but high level comp for the next 4 years

I hope he stays at 160 forever. At this point, watching the demographic agonize over him is giving me daily joy. He has consumed some users entirely (see IsaL, Shockmaster and kush), while others are getting dangerously close to moaning his name at night during night terrors. This forum has long ago deteriorated into race war field and GGG is the bright light dead in the middle, against which the mindless moths of my ignore list aimlessly flap about, knocking themselves against the fixture again and again.

In 4 fights he beats Bhop's record, the bastion of black racism and bigotry ("i'd never lose to a white boy"). When that happens, the agonizing screech of the demographic will pass into fever pitch. Their tears and impotent hate will wash against the lighthouse, powerless to put out its radiance. Their feeble minds will let the rage and frustration crush the last remnants of logic and common sense like tsunami waves crushes lonely huts, reducing them to stuttering zombies that use elipses instead of proper punctuation marks, forced to spend every hour of their waking lives on the forums, making dozens of GGG slander posts.

I personally can't wait.

I didn't claim Golovkin is a better ranked fighter overall than Hopkins.

You stated that Hopkins was lauded the world over and insinuated Golovkin wasn't. I ask you again who are these world experts who don't think Golovkin is a good/great fighter?
