Wow, this summer is packed with great fights. June: Martinez-Cotto Gamboa-Crawford Russel-Lomachenko July: Fury-Chisora II Lara-Canelo Golovkin-Geale August: Brook-Porter Kovalev
After the fight with Chavez jr fell through, please enlighten us on who the better AVAILABLE options for GGG are for a summer fight? Also, please describe what is wrong with Geales accomplishments.
Those are super middleweights though. Thats like saying "Canelo was an alright opponent, but Floyd should be fighting Martinez, GGG, Klitschko..." ya know? I know GGG has said he'll fight anyone from 154-168, but he has clearly established a home at middleweight for now and was talking out his arse.
I agree, STOP telling GGG to fight bigger men when he hasn't even been given a shot at the top MW's. He will clean out the MW division once he is given the chance.
GGG is Lucien Bute's twin brother. He will never step up until he gets a big money shot, and then he will be exposed but have $10M in the bank.
No thats like Floyd being a true Jr Welter, and fighting true Middleweights. Like he does. Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse both weighed in at 150+ for their fight at Jr Welter. Floyd weighed in at 150 for his fight at Jr Middle. 2 divisions apart, same weight on fight night. While Canelo came in at 165, which is what GGG has come in as before. GGG can fight a Super Middleweight, but isnt expected to for whatever reason. It's not the same thing. GGG has come into the ring on fight night in the 170s before. He could fight at Super Middle. You guys wanna make it seem like GGG is the real deal, without him fighting anyone. He said 154 to 168, so what's wrong with 168?
Geale is the best opponent out there at 160 bar Martinez. Golovkin is the real deal and people at 160 seem very reluctant. Plus to the people who keep mentioning Ward. Yes he is an opine for the future but seen as he won a Olympic medal at light heavy and he's effectively cleaned out super middleweight why doesn't he move up to challenge Kovalev, Stevenson or B-Hop? Instead of calling out smaller men.
It is a good fight for GGG…probably the best available option. Martinez is fighting Cotto, Quillin is ducking with the excuse of being in Showtime, what else is there for him at middleweight? Having said this he will win fairly easily vs. Geale. Geale is ok, but he doesn´t have enough to hurt GGG.
Well played. Now watch how every post below yours could be copy pasted from a hundred other threads. Actually, yours too. :hey
