Yup... life long boxer with a deep pedigree and on point professional training camps drains himself for a 30 day weigh in. Brilliant.

And I have a good friend who spends quite a bit of time at Big Bear He say's he walks in the place at around 166 and has no trouble at all at maintaining that weight because of His Brutal training regime....He said no on works harder than Golovkin up there and is very well respected by Younger and older Fighters alike for this reason.!!!!

This is definitely GGG's biggest test thus far

Jacobs is a legit 160 pounder who can bang, he's a world champion who has a lot of heart.

If you were to put Jacobs in with any of GGG's recent opposition he would have dealt with them swiftly. I'd pick Jacobs over Canelo.

It's an intriguing fight...one which will be a war whilst it lasts.

This is news because people have deluded themselves into believing Golovkin is some sort of giant 160 guy.

He's not. He's actually on the smaller side for the weight.

Furthermore, even if he wasn't, this just goes to show that he's taking Jacobs very seriously and probably wants to hit weight asap to avoid any last minute weight drops. IMHO it's the guys that try drop a bunch of weight in the last possible moment that damage their performance.

If you can make the weight you can make the weight, its never cheating, There is nothing stopping the other guy's cutting weight the same way also.

Hopefully both fighters are in great condition and it's a classic fight with the action of GGG vs Brook but a few more rounds.

However wondering if GGG will pay for staying at 160 for too long is a valid question. He is 35 in a couple of months and has been fighting at MW for a decade.

You have to remember the guy didn't turn pro until about 25. Most fighters who move up weight classes turn pro in their teens and move up a couple of years later after outgrowing their divisions. By mid 20s, most fighters are settled into their adult bodies. GGG just did his weight jumping in the amateurs. Leaving aside the stupidity of the OP, he does not have any difficulty making middleweight as evidenced by his routinely weighing 10-12lbs inside the 176 limit at the 30 day weigh in. Maybe one day he might find it harder as he gets old but by all accounts not anytime soon.

GGG walks around what? He is a small middleweight. Canelo is much bigger than
GGG and weigh as much 190++.

Lol so true I'm a fan of Khan for the first four rounds of every fight where he boxes like a God,thing is I'm not a fan of the bit where he tries to out do everyone for spectacular KO of the year award and I don't mean him Doing the KO lol.

Well actually that's what you hear from those in and around boxing, guys like Afolobi(can never spell that one)a cruiser weight who's sparred him says he hits hard and only says nice things about him,now for some reason we have guys like James and his tribe who have never been in or around him and yet they seem to know everything and contradict popular opinion,is it just trolling or do they believe it?i actually think it's the latter.
