GGG cutting weight again for 30 day weigh in, I smell upset!!!!

every damn day its something new with this group of imbeciles.....i must say this is a new one though...pretending like jacobs is a lhw now? lmao......golovkin aint no small mw...he aint a big one either...hes just a mw....but i swear everyday these guys have to say something stupid to justify his lack of a career

Yeah, I don't get the small middle thing either. He is exactly the right size for middle, nothing more to it. I think people read too much into these 30 day weight things as well. So long as they're making weight by the end and can operate effectively then it really doesn't matter. I mean Christ, Hatton would have outweighed Butterbean at a 30 day weigh in.

 

i have stuck up for wilder in what was supposed to sarcastic fashion.....although its no easily detectable.....im real and i realize what wilders career is so far...although i will give him a pass for povetkin.....but as ive mentioned...wilder isnt a p4p guy and no one realistically goes around saying hes an ATG

I'd also say I've know fighters to strip off weight early, more than they need to so they can eat well come fight week safe in the knowledge that they're well within the limits that they need to be.

 

I hear what you're saying but it can be dangerous both in the cutter and in some cases their opponent. There seems little point in having weight categories if one guy is going to be a stone heavier than the other come fight night.

It was more dangerous having same day weigh ins as fighters could cut anyways then don't properly hydrate. What we have now is a compromise.

 

I agree. People are stupid and willing to risk their health trying to get an advantage. That's why I'd have a fight night weigh in too in which anyone more than 7 pounds over the limit would have to forfeit half their purse as a penalty.

 

Now there's an idea, I like it.
