GGG daring to be great or still selling his Soul?

What demands did GBP make of GGG? GGG made way more demands for the rematch than GBP made in both fights combined.

 

He was conquered in the rematch in the sense that he was beaten "Mexican style". That was what GGG was asking for after the first fight. You always hear of the age old adage of how the challenger needs to take the fight to the champion to beat the champion. Well Canelo did that, he provided consistent come forward aggression, he landed more body shots, he landed more power punches, he was the more fierce fight hungry warrior in the rematch.

He did what challengers are supposed to do to take the titles from the Champ, to come forward to provide a relentless assault round after round. The rematch was indeed close, but GGG lost his titles via backing down and not being able to stay in the pocket and trade with Canelo. He was conquered by a guy who showed that he was a better fighter and a more effective power puncher. He took those titles by fighting and winning the way that fans want to see challengers take the fight to the champ.

 

I thought I read "at worst Canelo won 1 fight and had a draw in the other" lol
