Just like Pacquiao should have accepted the 40mil flat fee? What did Pac end up making with a split? Any of the boxing financial specialists know?

If I was GBP, I would strongly consider making a real offer before GGG fights Jacobs.

What happens if GGG-Jacobs outsells Canelo-Smith?? How do they have leverage when his last three fights have done progressively (and dramatically) worse?

This isn't an offer GGG can't pass up because it's about 50% more than he is currently making fighting "bums." Canelo would stand to make upwards of 500+% more than he has been with that flat-fee offer.

If I was K2, after Jacobs I would push hard to get Saunders to sign, even if you have to overpay. Because you know GBP will definitely overpay him to go after his belt (for leverage in negotiations and to push the GGG fight into 2018), beat them to the punch.

If he smashes both Jacobs and Saunders with improving PPV buys, I don't see how GBP can even push Canelo as the A-side anymore.

    Significantly over. Over double that.

I heard $120M for PAC, $180M for Floyd (40/60). Whatever the true numbers were, that 40 flat was a joke, just as the 15 flat is. Floyd didn't want any part of PAC then and Canelo wants none of that Kazak Thunder.

Exactly, Ward and Kovalev agreed to fight eachother 1 year before they actually fought. So I don't see why it's such a big deal for GGG taking the offer now. It will be 13 million more than what Kovalev got for fighting Ward, so in actuality this is a hell of a deal.

You are correct. I heard Pac took home approx $62MM after taxes and other operating costs so it must been around $120MM.
All the more reason why GGG shouldn't take that bait "Offer" from DelaFishnet.:babeando: It's an offer to mask their real intention which is to DUCK, nothing more. :2guns: Golden Boy promotion's real name should be Copper Boy promotion....:copas:

maybe kovalev and ward came to an agreement so soon because kovalev accepted a terrible deal and got shafted?

maybe canelo should accept a terrible deal so the fight can happen

Not the point. Kovalev and Ward agreed to fight 1 year prior to stepping in the ring. Hopkins agreed to fight Oscar 6 months before they fought as well and fought on the same PPV card to promote the fight which was next. GGG isn't going to get a better deal than this, it's a no brainer.
