if he gets chinned then he gets chinned. its better to go out chinned against, then just give it all up, ggg needs to go out with his head held high.
Fact of the matter is how can you have more than one Worlds best in any weight they should go back to 1 world champion! One belt! One best!
Right if he goes out on his shield! at 37 he doesn't have time for these kind of fights! I mean this is boxing and it has happened before a so called bum beats the already IS! Why take the risk for no reward at 37!
There are always a few exceptions idiot. Does that actually need to be pointed out to you? Most guys move up because they cannot make weight, or because they got KTFO of their old division, and MUST move up. I doubt you see the irony of only pointing out superstars of the sport who have moved up. Actually, I doubt you do. Superstars or mainstream cash cows will always have the benefit of moving up, as they will get immediate shots no matter what. There's a free lesson for you....
Nope, he should've retired after Canelo 2 instead of signing that contract. Hes 37 and ripe, he was willing himself on in the return, its money now ! Fighters don't have to get chinned to sign off imo, hes proved what he was about
Do a Hagler, walk when the deck is stacked, but that money though mate, I think the return was a given. Now I see no point and no fighter I want to see him in with
This is just the norm in boxing. For some reason, boxing is a sport where it's normal for world class athletes to be matched against absolute nobodies. It's like if the Warriors were earnestly matched against some high school basketball team. Or perhaps more like the high school's janitor. Possible explanations I think about: 1. It's "free" money. No risks, no effort. Just a large paycheck. 2. Emotional health: Fighters may be more motivated when they feel good about themselves. I guess you can also imagine a boxer taking 4+ losses in a row without measures like this. Even if that boxer is world class, and lost to the absolute best, that would be hard to come back from.
