So how would you describe Canelo in their first fight?

Was he being backed up or out boxing GGG on the back foot?

The thing with Canelo was he was using laterral movement boxing on the backfoot and was countering the **** out of GGG while he was coming towards, landing the harder cleaner shots throughout. Defense and clean punching are part of scoring criteria, which Canelo utilized to his advantage.

GGG was using ineffective aggression, look it up.

AMEN!!! It's called boxing! Seems Canelo's back hit the ropes a few times in the later rounds though!

You hate people who are not European. You called Charlo a ***** iirc and thought Murata was some whirlwind of a fighter. I can't take you serious

Golovkin outlanded Canelo in both fights and in their second fight stood in the pocket/mid range and was never once backed up like Canelo was in their first fight.

The rematch Canelo was easily outboxed 8-4, their first fight was closer but still a clear GGG victory.

I've never called Charlo anything and regarding Murata all I ever said was that he was as proven at 160 as that of Charlo.....stop playing the race card idiot.

As for hating people who are not European, been there done that and GGG is from Kazakhstan in ASIA and Canelo (whom I'm also a big fan of) looks more like me than GGG so that's an avenue that's blocked.

Keep the race card at home pin dick.

Canelo put his back to the ropes willingly and beckoned Golovkin forwards. He was able stand with his back against the ropes and get the better of Golovkin , but Golovkin would never give up his back to the ropes because he knows he'd come off second best

^ Look how GGG can't lay a glove on him and misses everything he throws. Golovkin in the same situation would have taken everything Canelo threw , no doubt about that. Thats why he was too spooked to tangle with him in the rematch

Fanboys will look at Canelo's defense and think nothing of it , but defense and making your opponent miss gets looked on favorably by the judges.

Canelo made GGG miss 100s and 100s of punches , while he out-landed him on power punches in both fights. There's good reason why GGG didn't win either fight against Canelo

jabs are not part of scoring criteria.. clean punching is.
The rematch Canelo still landed the cleaner shots and stood right in front of G and made him miss and made him pay... G took the brunt end of the beat down and will probably end up getting brain damage should he fight canelo again

I was talking about the 2nd fight. Canelo did a great job working off the ropes in the 1st fight. However GGG had Canelo missing a lot of his shots in the 2nd fight. Canelo's back touched the ropes in the 2nd fight but Golovkin's did not.

He's not getting pushed back then, that's fighting on the counter.

going backwards is going back. Fighting on the counter is what Canelo was doing.

What can GGG do to beat Smith?

    He won't out jab him
He won't walk through his shots
He doesn't have the feet to beat a guy so much rangier
