GGG fans are always complaining about how the other MWTs will "never" fight him...

Canelo is the best path for him.

 

@smoking....how many American boxers were big ppv draws before Floyd? and personally im not counting Oscar because he is Mexican/American and the Mexican fanbase was there......hes pretty rare

Pac is a huge exception .a 8 weight world champion where the majority of his PPV's were against americans or Mexicans

 

Tyson,Roy Jones jr , de la Hoya holy field etc Pac is an exception and the vast majority of his PPV's were against americans or Mexican fighters. Also il bet there's more fhilipino americans than kazakh americans

 

@smoking....ggg has enough to do well enough ....the problem is nobody cares when hes fighting david Lemieux...its not because Lemieux isn't Mexican....its because hes not that good and nobody cared

 

Honestly, I'm split on the issue, on one hand I find that practise to be deplorable but on the other I'm not sure if GGG has any choice at this point, it seems without giving up some sort of advantage nobody will face him.

Haha true. Maybe movies is the way for ggg to get that exposure and become a ppv star.

 

He's has a Mexican style though, so they say.. I don't think he will have a problem selling PPVs if he beats Canelo. Personally i wont buy his PPVs until he fights Canelo or someone Legit. But that's just me!

I just named Jones ,de la Hoya , Canelo, cotto, barrels, morales , marquee , Bradley etc

 

What's funny to me is that the same people who shat on GGG for asking a CW from Ward are defending Canelo asking one from GGG and attacking Golovkin for (potentially) not accepting it already....

Make your mind up, either you're for or against catchweights and in this case this is catchweight from the same division so it's far worse in fact.

 

did ward go around saying "anyone from 160-175"?.....ggg knew ward was looking to go to 175....saying "164" was a surefire way to get ward to say no and move on

if ggg says "ok" to canelo you prob have a fight....saying 164 to ward was a guaranteed no.....

i also havent see ward fans go around and claim no one would fight him and he cant get a fight.....ward still has a potential big fight ahead of him ....one thats even more dangerous

GGG isnt getting fights because he thinks he's bigger than what he is, Kovalev took the short end of the stick a few times to get himself into a great position.

Even took the same offer Ward had for GGG with no complaints, ask GGG to do something similar and its all crying.
