the sad and simple truth of the matter is that the other MW "Champions" just don't have the stomach to fight him especially after the way he destroyed a top fighter in Geale.
    Isn't Ward retired....LMAO

Dude in boxing the one that has the draw makes the rules....GGG regardless how HBO has tried to make him into a huge box office hit, he is not nearly to the level of Cotto, or even Sergio for mega fights....therefore he has no blue chips to bring to the bargaining tabor other than his alphabet soup belt....and that only scows for either HBO"s BAD or their regular boxing cards ....but not to. Huge PPV event....so he will keep having to be in the passenger seat and not the driver seat when it comes to demands... Sure he can continue to be on the driver seat on your Geale, or even Quillin fight, if it happens....but that's about it!!

When it comes to mega PPV fight, GGG will be the C side of the negotiation...he will take what is given to him!!!

    This is a terrible thread.

Cotto is a belt holder in the same division as Golovkin. They are the consensus top 2 and both have belts.

Ward is in the division above and neither Golovkin nor Cotto should have to move up and face him.

noone is really saying Cotto has to fight Golovkin, if he feels he's too small he should give up his belt.

now you know why the federations are baby****, and why fighters who 'have the power', use it

if you think that's okay, then you should join them

So basically its justifiable for GGG to fight a smaller man but its not right for GGG to fight Andre Ward. Oh the hypocrisy

Basically it's 100% justifiable to unify a division, should even be encouraged.

Moving up a division is not something that should be expected of a fighter when there are fights to be made in the current division they are campaigning in.

Cotto is fighting at Middleweight and has a world title. If he can't handle the weight then he should vacate and move down. These excuses is what are ruining boxing. The greats of Hearns, Duran and SRL would never make any excuses and they sure didn't when they faced a middleweight boxing legend in Hagler. They were real men with real cajones!

It is embarrassing for the sport how fans can argue Ward/GGG not moving up 1 division yet Cotto who is in his 4th division is a punk if he doesn't fight GGG immediately. How does that work how did Cotto get to MW by moving up yet again but these guys can go up once.

What are you failing to comprehend? Cotto and Golovkin are the top two of the division, one wants the fight and one does not.

If cotto doesn't wanna face the other belt holders he should vacate.

Sorry but Cotto is still a champion at 160 right? When did you see GGG at 168? That is where you're entire argument falls flat on its troll-like face.

Tbe Cotto-Canelo winner is going to fight GGG if he's still at MW neither are ducking just setting up a bout with the more accomplished fighters which is each other.

But explain why Ward can't go up once to LHW or GGG can't go up once the SMW to fight the best yet Cotto just moved up for the 4th time is scary if he doesn't fight a guy who can't move up once. Between the three I'd root for GGG first but that excuse is soft
