GGG fans, tell me whats supposed to impress me about Golovkin?

From what I saw, it looked like GGG respected Rosado's power at first so he wasn't getting hit in the first few rounds but after feeling the lack of power from Gabe, he felt more confident throwing at Gabe, hence sacrificing his defense for offense.

GGG is never going to be Sweetpea, he knows the only real marketable things about him is his aggression and KO's.

 

Who doesn't like a puncher? Anyone that stands in front of him is in a world of pain but will be interesting to see how he copes with a mover who isn't there to be hit. I suspect once we see Golovkin in with anyone who can box and move, well see Golovkin struggle.

He's slightly overrated but no more than say Matthysse or Broner, plus he's a fun fighter to watch. I like the way he cuts off the ring, and he has a really strong, powerful jab that reminds me of Wlad's or Bruno's somewhat. Martinez boxes rings around him though.

 

I'm more of a believer than a cynic. It would be interesting to see him fight with an opponent that forced him backwards. I think that may be his weakness, but he actually has counter-punching ability. He slips his head and moves subtlety on defense. Ward was right about that. A lot of his defense is glove-blocking, though. He punches well, places his punches well, and has a variety of punches. He works at a fairly pushing pace and can get off the ring. Does he look a little stiff and robotic? Maybe, but I think his unorthodox style only helps. He seems very durable and very well conditioned. It would be interesting to see him in with someone that's a great boxer. I would think he would probably beat Martinez.
