GGG has as much blame here as Wilder in the Povetkin fight.

GGG is hungry for his career high pay day, common sense tells me he would've put up with anything to get Canelo in to the ring again for that kind of money !

I have to agree with CST80 here.

Golovkin is supremely confident in himself, I think that he literally believes he is invincible. Look at him after he's floored some of his opponents. That little strut he does while he sneers down at them as if to say "You really thought you could hang with ME? Mother****er?"

That said one can be arrogant while still being considerate, well spoken, respectful and yeah, even likeable. But it's clear that there's a line that you don't want to cross with Golovkin; then it's no more Mr Nice Guy.

Totally agree mate. I cant put my finger on why one of them would want to be a mod. Yeah @KiwiMan is a good poster balanced, threw Parker under the bus the other day though

 

I don't think he likes all the acting and stuff that you have to do at the top, the interviews, the attention ect. I think its forced with him and really hes tired of it in a way. Like he says "he just wants to fight". That sneer that your on about, he takes a deep breath eyes on downed opponent as he walks away is one of the coldest looks ive ever seen in a ring, dead eyes. I don't blame them not wanting to get up

 

I don't even like Povetkin really.

I was hoping Wilder would play it safe and wait for the opportunity to drill him and put him out much like Wlad v Pulev since like Pulev, Povetkin often forget to remember what could be coming back
