    Ward-Golovkin isn't a fight for free, it's a big fight lots of boxing fans wish to see at some point. For me personally there's a line to this "risk vs reward" factor and when boxers go too far with it, it becomes ducking.

    But this scenario we were talking about isn't taking it too far. GGG would have to fight Ward above his usual weight limit, he would be at a disadvantage so he should get paid at least as much as he would for fighting Chavez. Why should he move out of his division and fight Ward for less?

    Ward will not even make the fight. He is so deluded, he still considers himself A-side and would demand terms that would be totally unacceptable.

    Assming Ward is ever reasonable about his B-side status in this potential match up and this fight gets made, many will be shocked how easily GGG handles him.

    They all screamed from the rafters how hopkins' dirty/experienced tactics were going to give Kovalev fits and look how that played out.

    Just because it won't make as much as Chavez doesn't mean it shouldn't ever happen, Ward is still one of the biggest fights for Golovkin in and around his natural weight, I mean unless there's someone else like Froch or Canelo that he can fight afterwards in a bigger fight I do expect him to fight Ward eventually as well if he did make a move up to 168, I just don't agree with your reasoning honestly.

    Ward don't have to do nothing but be Ward. GGG is the one who made all them bogus statements and Ward just called him on it. They are both basically the same size. Ward got him in height but the body frame of both matches up. GGG talking about coming up to fight everybody but Ward cause he knows, just like everybody else knows that Ward will handle him and in good fashion.

    I honestly have no issue with what you're saying. My problem is that this same standard is not held with other boxers.

    It's easy to talk about Ward being dirty, which is not true, than to face the obvious and that is that GGG don't want none.

    There is no duck here. Just show him the money. And thats the Lion share. Who is Ward? Most people never heard of him. Not PPV material.
    And is he coming down to 160.

    People know who Ward but most importantly is that GGG knows who Ward is too, and that's the real issue.

    GTFOH with this same size BS. Ward is a lot closer in size to Kovalev than he is to Golovkin.

    If Ward is natural SMW and GGG is a natural MW why can't they fight at 164 or 165?

    Yes, why not? If the fight has to happen 2015..

    But like someone already wrote, Wards size is much closer to kovalev
    Than GGG. So if someone feels Wards needs a big and competive fight, kovalev fight is much easier and faster to be made.

    Why wouldn't GGG go up and fight the champ at the higher weight for his belt?
    Who do you think he is, Andre Ward?:rofl

    Seriously though. You've never seen any interviews with Abel Sanchez saying that he doesn't like catch weights?

    They're not the same size Ward has fought at 175 in the amateurs

    GGG = 5'10
    Ward = 6'1
    Kovalev = 6'1
