So, are you saying GGG is retiring because he looks bloated? Or did he make an official retirement announcement?
I remember when the forum was cheering his declaration of willingness to fight in four weight classes as though he were actually doing it. And then pretending that he did it. And those are fond memories. And when they complained about Alvarez doing it because it was wrong and he is handsome.
Unfortunate he didn't brawl Canelo in the second and third fights. In this case Sanchez was right, it was how he had to fight him. These fights will haunt him probably.
He can make some more dough without getting hurt against Sergio Martinez if he wants, hes looking for a fight. Not a great idea for sergio though
Good I didn't really see the point of a fight vs John Ryder which adds nothing to his legacy other than going out on a win.
He had the physical ability to do well in all those weights, just not the size. He obviously can't carry the weight well outside of 160 lbs. Weight division. He has the strength and power of a light heavyweight though. The extra weight seems to slow him down, thus he's a middleweight great.
This news hit me like a truck. No, literally, the very moment I clicked this thread yesterday I was involved in a major vehicle accident. (a drunk driver peeled out of a bar's parking lot at 1:30pm and t-boned the bus I was riding, a couple of seats over from where I was sitting...I have pictorial proof ) https://ibb.co/Wf78632 https://ibb.co/Vmqc1MR
Frick used to give me the goosebumps entering the Ringwalk with his hands on able Sanchez's shoulders themed to the white stripes music. He did something special in the 2nd Canelo fight- he changed up his destiny, knew he was behind on the scorecards so he changed his fate, he started picking up the pace and upping the ante breathing heavy like an asthmatic in between rounds cause he was working so hard!
