Right?!?! The craziest part of it was the driver, immediately after impact, while we're still cruising about 40mph as he's frantically changing lanes to pull over, is making eye contact with me in the rearview mirror and screaming in a thick Haitian accent" "you see dat man? He do dat, no me! He do, he do, he do!" and I'm just like. "Sir. Ten and two, eyes in front. My ears are still ringing and I can't process a thing you're saying right now. Let's reconvene this convo after you get us in park." Then the cop who happened to have her squad car also parked in the bar lot (......) came on and got statements from both of us, then got on the horn with her supervisor and his, then had to let some other poor lady leave because she had blocked the driveway for a residential apartment next door, and the whole time I'm trapped onboard for twenty very awkward minutes until they remembered to let the civilian go, since I only heard/felt it and didn't see it on account of having my nose buried in my phone reading about GGG on ESB (barely made it to my physical therapy appointment in town in time)
Weirdly enough, this is the second Harry Potter reference I've heard out of the blue today. What an odd coincidence. But hey, I'll take it Jokes aside, glad no one was seriously hurt in the accident
If you look at the pic, where the the whole right half of that banner ad on the side of the bus has a bumper shaped indentation? Yeah, I was seated above the ad's text. Moments like that are where many people have their "come to Jesus" awakening but I remain defiantly tried & tested atheistic.
Triple G was a straight killer, enjoy your retirement. But for selfish reasons I would love for him to come back for one last BANG!
Glad you're alright, man. I used to think drunken driving was hilarious because of that one Willie Nelson scene. But I found out later...I guess it's pretty dangerous now. Welcome to Biden's America. Not necessarily. He may not have known what time it was.
If you're going to drive impaired, make sure it's an 8-ball or something; that way you know you're alert.
Age comes to us all.. what a ride the triple G journey was.. shame he was avoided.. killer in his hay day
He looks to be in great spirit and enjoying life, as he should. He's had a good career, no reason for him to continue much longer if there's not much else to gain at his age. Enjoy retirement Champ.
I hope he's retired but lets see what happens when boredom sets in, and never underestimate the lure of the roar of the crowd chanting your name.
