I dont expect him to fight Ward, but those other two, hell yeah, and to have a good shot at winning by KO.:bbb
That's why i put the 3rd option that basically is the mid point where he could be hype or he might be the real deal but either way he is fun to watch (i used slightly different wording in the poll but that's is what i essentially meant).
We won't know how good or over hyped Golovkin is until he fights better opposition. All things being fair though, Golovkin wouldn't have needed two tries to beat Paul Williams. He would also **** on Dzinziruk, and Barker, and would beat Macklin and Chavez Jr. also. Martinez hasn't beaten anyone Golovkin wouldn't. It is kind of messed up that Martinez refuses to fight the best opposition, while going after lackluster opponents, who don't belong in the ring with him, Dzinziruk, Chavez Jr. Barker, etc.
He is number 3 in the World and should get a Shot at Martinez,Geale or Chavez end of story, dont think any of the so called Top Middleweights are knocking Golovkins door down to fight him, that in itself says what his opponents think of him and I can assure you they dont think he is a Hype job, otherwise they would fight Him. He is Top 3 in the World and a genuine belt holder and without doubt one of the most avoided fighters in the World at the moment, come on Martinez and Geale make the fight and we will all see if he is a hype job or genuine dangerous Top quality Fighter.!!!!
Golovkin and Geale should fight to determine the clear cut #1. Martinez is rehabbing injuries and will be back in May.
It's not me, it's him GGG who said he would fight anybody from 154 to 168 and that includes Canelo, Martinez and Ward and Froch. And Canelo is a super-welter dude. Forget about it. The guy is being sold as a good fighter and a hypejob.
Nothing thus far sustains that assesment, that GGG would Kayo either Martinez or Canelo, not surely the Proksa fight or the Ouma fight.
No champ fights rated opposition every single time out; He didn't need two tries against Paul depending who you ask although he certainly left zero doubt the second time out :yep -- It can be twisted whichever ways, Williams was #2 behind only Sturm at the time and #5 P4P, a spot higher than Sergio. Dzinzurik and Barker were meh, although Macklin and Chavez were top three middleweights as well. A year ago a fight with Julio would've been silly but he showed vast improvement over his fights heading into it and more than a few thought his size would prove to be too much, with Martinez caught up to, pinned and inevitably stopped.
