GGG in hot pursuit for sturm....

glad to see sturm would make time for this fight finally, when he has nothing to lose. but i think its still a fight worthy of being made

 

Golovkin should fight Geale, despite the payday likely being less than a Sturm fight. He'd do terrible things to Sturm, though.

 

GGG is looking to stop Sturm in emphatic fashion. Once he does that and Geale ducks or gets K.O.'d, then HBO will definitely green light a Golovkin/Martinez or Golovkin/Chavez Jr. fight.

Dude, Floyd's in another world right now, I don't know if he's ever gonna fight again. Canelo's got balls, but DeLaHoya ain't letting Martinez anywhere near their golden-child. Cotto wants Canelo bad, plus he has a tough fight to get through with Trout. I think the reality is gonna smash Martinez in his beautiful face, that MW is where he belongs.

 

Cotto is the least appealing fight he could take out of any being mentioned. Agree with you on both fronts regarding Floyd and Canelo. Alvarez's reasoning and what he said his 'team' told him about a Martinez fight makes it all laughably apparent that there's really no chance of it. The Floyd fight is a great one because Floyd is great. What's gone on since he went in and come out of jail is puzzling and concerning as hell -- Nobody has any idea wtf is going on with him.

It's an opinion, dude. I don't think Geale wants it and I have every hope the fight gets made. Macklin beat Sturm in Germany too, so Sergio should already be WBC/WBA(S) unified in addition to the legitimate title. **** jockey, that's funny. I only want Martinez to beat his ass. :deal

Do you guys know what fight I want to see....GGG vs AA at 164 lbs. Its a weight that AA would be able to make but would not be way bigger then AA. GGG is a pressure fighter and AA is one of the biggest punchers p4p in boxing. Also the guy is one of the toughest SOBs in the sport too. So he'd be able to take GGG's **** and answer back with big power. I can see him knocking out the smaller man but I can also see him being broken down and beaten by GGG who is a very smart, well schooled boxer. GGG would have to use his skills to win this fight. It would show us a lot about him and that is why I would really like to see it.

 

He can fight this old man this year and all it means is that he'll be able to ask for more money next year....not a bad move. Besides its not like any other big name in the division, with nothing to lose is looking for a big cash out to his career....

 

I agree it would be a great and competitive fight but it doesnt make sense to the idiots like thawk888 and others on this forum who say he should take on Mayweather when he apparently knocks out Martinez with ease! Don't bother pointing out facts or logic to these morons cause unless it goes along with their theory of GGG being the reincarnation of Kostya Tyszu, you're a hater.
