He will. Hopkins fought a series of unknown contenders, but became an ATG over it because of his longevity and consistency at that weight. Why do you hate all other races? Someone steal your girl?

And what division is 155lbs? And he is fighting Khan for the MW belt. You realize that Khan is not a MW, right?

 

Khan is essentially a Light Middleweight. He can make welterweight but as you can see he is rapidly outgrowing that division. Not too long ago he was a Jr Welterweight, but he was struggling to make that weight. He hit a growth spurt and now is probably a much stronger fighter at 154 than he is at 147. He says he walks around above 160 at like 165 or something. That sounds like a Jr Middleweight more than a MW or a WW.

Khan also has the height and reach be more comparable to Jr Middleweights. (compared to Pacquiao who is a much smaller man) Khan at this point is more of a Middleweight than Ward is a Heavyweight, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t be a full Middleweight in a few years time. If he wins the title from Canelo, do any of us expect him to fight GGG at 160? But that’s what you say Canelo should do for holding this title. So we’re going to see how Khan vs Canelo plays out but it is a highly unusual situation with Khan being the #1 contender for Garcia at WW and if Khan impresses at MW that fight may never even happen.
