The difference is they also have bigger wins. Even though Toney beat Jirov who's bigger and better than Jacobs his fans don't go around and claim he is the best ever that's the difference. He ballooned up in weight and stayed competitive.
There's been posts on here claiming GGG would flatten Kovalev as well. Seriously don't make me dig up old threads to show comments about his fans claiming he would beat guys like Jones Jr with ease. He gets way overhyped which is why people are the way they are. A lot of us have been waiting for him to step up to see how good he really is. Then his fans continue to push him as some ATG without him having been challenged yet. I posted recently saying Jacobs will be his best win because for once he was up against a really good fighter. Today he got challenged, it wouldn't be anywhere near this bad if people had waited for him to fight a true contender before crowning him an ATG, and posting how he's so good he makes the whole division look like crap. Or how he could beat anyone from 154-168. We've been saying wait till he steps up, his fans has been saying he lets people hit him on purpose for christs sake.
I am sure you could dig up some posts from a couple of extreme members but that is not "all his fans". Not highlighting you but it is an oft trotted out blanket statement round these parts.
It seems you are a massive twat. GGG was trash and Jacobs is a marginal talent? So you are giving neither of them any credit what so ever for the fight last night or their entire careers? This is not the forum for you.
Look through Canelo at 154 and Golovkin at 160 and see who has faced more welterweight.....then get back to us.
Yeah I really should have used the word fanboy, all fighters have them and I myself was once a Butard. Watching Froch dismantle Bute for me was a wake up call. Some fighters will look absolutely amazing until they face adversary it's hard to gauge how good they really were. And for me although I wouldn't consider Jacobs a great fighter, he was good and also a really bad style match up for GGG. Yet GGG managed to do well in a very close fight. I have to rewatch the fight before I can really decide who won, but for once I got to see what happens when someone doesn't fold once GGG gets to them.
Here we go. He has one close fight and is now a fraud. Every fighter gets a favourable decision at some point.
Hi Saul! I think 2020 is probably still too soon for you to be able to beat him. You're better off trying in 2023 when GGG has arthritis and has a bum knee.
Trolls. It's like me making Mayweather threads under an alt about how he would destroy Kovalev and Ward and then sitting back to watch the flamewars. I think RJJ could be within reach of Golovkin to beat. I could make a decent argument for it. But with ease? No fcking way.
