How many times have people called out others on their bluff and paid dearly for it? Canelo is a good example when he fought CATCHweather. Same thing will happen to Golovkin. Better for Golovkin to stick to his guns and not be money hungry. Not only will he be fighting against the catchweight but the judges too.

Exactly. Golovkin shouldn't go below 158, because if he doesn't KO Canelo, then corrupt judges can give decision to Canelo.

"B, b, b, but Mayweather and Pacquiao both 'ducked' Golovkin since Golovkin said he'd happily fight them at 154."

    Right? Right?!

Canelo has a MW belt, you idiot. He is the same size if not bigger than Golovkin. Mayweather and Golovkin would meet in the middle.

Good post. I agree GGG will be fighting the refs as well, but who else of note is there for GGG to fight? Andy Lee? If not for money, then he would be looking for a legacy fight...Other than Canelo that doesn't exist at 160. I hate, hate, hate the catchweight garbage, but no organization in boxing is making a stand on it. As long as Canelo pays the fees, he can fight at any catchweight he wants.

It really is simple... don't win the MW title then demand MW's to come below 160.

There's an easy solution to this. If Canelo REALLY doesn't feel comfortable at 160, then he can come in at 155 or wherever he feels comfortable, and GGG can come in at 159 or wherever he feels comfortable. As long as they don't exceed the 160 max or below the minimum. Wow, look how easy that is.

GGG is doing everything people hate other boxers for but he always gets an excuse..

Let me see if I have everything..

He'll fight everyone from 154-168 but only at 160..

He can make 154 easily to fight the "coward" Floyd, but 155 for Canelo is ridiculous..

Everyone's ducking him and the guys who isn't don't make enough money..

He'll only go up for money fights or after he won all belts at 160..

He wants Ward at 164 but catchweights are ruining the sport..

The excuses for every one of these has to do with money or belts.. I might be wrong though...

Yes you are an idiot, all the indications are that Oscar does NOT want the Golovkin fight to happen (at any weight). He's said in the past that maybe in 2 years etc. go look it up. GGG could ruin Canelo, and seeing as he's so young, the risk is just waaaay too high. About the fans? No one gives a **** about the fans. If he cared about the fans he would fight GGG now at 160. You are divorced from reality.
