GGG is a tune-up fight for Canelo

ya it is. sadly. ggg is done at the highest level. clenelo might stop him via body shots.

 

Bit harsh, but GGG at 40 is definitely an easier opponent than Benavidez, Bivol rematch and Beterbiev

 

How exactly is a G fight going to prepare Canelo for a Bivol rematch? Completely different style of fighters. Other than not getting tagged by G's jab, I don't see how the fight is in anyway preparation for Bivol.

 

Actually Bivol was supposed to be a tune up for the GGG fight, how did that work out? Canelo more than anybody knows how dangerous GGG is.

 

But not easier than Plant, Saunders Vildrim, and Smith.

 

No it wasn't you silly goose. Bivol was never a tune up fight LOL. Yes there was an agreement in place to fight GGG next, but Bivol, a tune-up fight for GGG? Moving up to 175 to fight the Champ? You tell on yourself when you say things like that. A tune-up fight for GGG would be fighting some chump at 168. You don't move up in weight and face an undefeated prime Champion at the weight class above to tune yourself up for a bigger fight in your weight class.

 

Dont start with this GGG is a tuneup ****. Its bad enough we had idiots on here claiming Bivol was coming to spar.

 

I get Golovkin being 40 and clearly past it now, but a tune-up?
Don't forget that according to most people watching Golovkin beat Canelo twice already or going 1-0-1 at worst.
A long time has passed, but it's still one of the hardest fights out there for Alvarez.
Will Golovkin win? We know he'd have to dominate or knock Canelo out to get the nod, so that seems highly unlikely at this point. but I think it will still be relatively close.

 

Tune-up ? no

Hard fight ? no

Is GGG slow and old ? YES

 

Is Canelo a flat footed plodder with good head movement? YES

 

Bivol was supposed to roll over like the others. Canelo was believing his own press clippings. The Great Canelo can defeat anybody even Cruiserweight Champs, even Usyk. Well Bivol wasn't Plant.,nor is GGG, they come to win.

 

Well, with Canelo fights the fans have to be the judges, you won't get a fair shake from the judges. Even Bivol didn't care if he won on the cards, he just wanted the world to see him fight so they could be the judges.
