A healthy Sergio Martinez would've made him look like a punching bag. Bhop, James Toney, RJJ all defeat G. Prime Jermaine Taylor and Pavlik make him go life and death like Ouma did.

The Golovkin fad is already over.
It hit its peak about 2 years ago.
If you look back at that time, so many articles were about GGG. Mainly because he couldnt get a fight. The legend of Gennady hit its peak with Eubank Jr lost his pen. That sent the hardcore boxing world into a frenzy. Hater screamed dirty politics while his fans took his momentum into the stratosphere. The Eubank duck was pretty absurd if you ask me and to this day I dislike Jr.

Since then, its slowly declined. The Brook fight showed some holes. The Jacobs fight showed more holes. Canelo, a real big junior middle but smallish looking middleweight, gave GGG fits. The legend of GGG is over. Call it age, call it a step up in competition. To me its both as Brook, Canelo and Jacobs are levels above the rest on GGGs resume while at the same time GGG looks older (because he is).

You dont see real interest in GGGs career anymore as most know that he will rematch Canelo and then probably retire. And when I say real interest, what I mean is hardcore fan interest. Yes, the casuals will watch his fights as he is one of the most popular in american boxing. But as for the next superhero in boxing, GGG is not it. So on to the search for the next.
