If you stop being childish and using words like: 'Triple Duck' and 'Bumlovkin' then we can have a debate.

 

GGG is one of the most overhyped fighters of all time. He's stepped up twice, only to win a controversial decision and get a draw against guys he was meant to dispose of in 3 rounds. He looks great knocking over a certain calibre of fighter, hence the hype.

There are plenty of fighters at MW since Hagler that would've beaten him no question. Hopkins would've probably shut him out en route to a late stoppage.

 

You have to remember that Golovkin is already 35 years old. Fomer top MW's like Martinez, Sturm, Geale and Mudine ducked him since years

In March Golovkin fought probably the second best guy @ MW. Jacobs came in @180 because he ignored the IBF rules. Still Golovkin knocked him down and won a close fight against that LHW (If you score all close rounds to Jacobs I could see a draw at best).

In September Canelo and Oscar finally thought Golovkin might have slipped enough.
Golovkin cleary outfought Canelo but Oscar bought one of the Judges so they escaped with a draw.
I can't see a Canelo win here

And yes Hagler and Hopkins might have beaten Golovkin but Golovkin would have been a hard fight for both of them
