Cotto's resume *easily* takes a HUGE dump all over the Triple Duck's resume.

    hahahahahahaha

    Don't be so dense, GolovStan.

If Cotto dropped the WBC title do you think the Triple Duck would fight Jorge Sebastian Heiland for the vacant title?

    NO.

The lineal title predates the WBC by some DECADES.

Let's see how huge of a dump it is:

    Sergio Martinez

    Alfonso Gomez

I doubt GGG quits on his knees against a fighter of Margarito's caliber.
I doubt a B or C level fighter like Clottey even wins more than 2 rounds against GGG.
GGG would not get TKO'd by Pacquiao
GGG would destroy any version of Mayorga
    Mayweather would NEVER face GGG
I don't see Trout humiliating GGG the way he schooled Cotto

Actually, yeah - you can, Genius.

Actually, yeah - it DOES, Genius.

    Actaully, the question you should ask is;

Does the lineal title have any value to idiot brain dead boxing fans who just started watching the sport yesterday?

Do your homework and report back once you have an answer to this question...

You're right, Joe Lewis wasn't a middleweight champion - BUT Walker Smith WAS - 5 times.

Show me a picture of Ray Robinson wearing the WBC belt and I'll show you a picture of the Lineal title...

Sure thing, just as soon as you show me a picture of Sugar Ray Robinson, the 5 time MW champion of the World, wearing the WBC belt.

    Don't worry, I'll wait....

If the middleweight division is really weak and full of bums then why does the lineal title matter?

The lineal title is the ONLY title in any division that has any meaning or substance. The Alphabet organizations' "titles" with how their rankings are sold to the highest bidder are MEANINGLESS and always have been.

Cotto is listed as THE middleweight champ. If he says next week he's gonna fight Andy Lee would you say Lee is a legitimate challenge? Because Lee isn't more deserving of that fight than Golovkin is. Golovkin at least is the mandatory.

I don't hold the win over Martinez as a huge accomplishment, I see it more like a huge gift from the boxing Gods because Martinez was shot to pieces that night.

Since winning a razor thin close fight against Mosley, Cotto has not done anything elite.

Judah? Don't make me laugh. I said don't make me laugh!

Fact of the matter is, since beating Mosley (who is overrated) in a fight that could have EASILY gone either way, Cotto has not done anything worthy of being called Legacy building with the exception of getting his hands on the MW title from a shot fighter, yet will not defend it or at least doesn't seem he will defend it properly.

Now he has blatantly ducked a young fighter in Canelo, and is ducking his mandatory.

The Triple Duck hasn't beaten ANYONE of the caliber of the Judah who Cotto beat. Judah was the former lineal and undisputed welterweight champion of the world. Exactly WHO has the Triple Duck beaten?

I'll give Cotto a break for Mosley and Judah cause they still had fight left but Martinez was a combination of luck and good opponent scouting. Cause they knew he was shot
