That's called an excuse. 155 is Mw, Canelo is the lineal champion. It might be bush league but canelo is the man commanding the money. You think Hagler or Hopkins would have avoided a canelo in their division because of 5 pounds?
Dumb logic. Middleweight is 155-160. Preventing a middleweight from coming in at 75% of the middleweight range is not fair. Especially to larger middleweights. Jacobs and Quillin comfortably fight at 160 yet neither one of them can make 155. But yeah, thats perfectly fine. Canelo is the A-side so eliminating two top fighters in the division from having the chance to fight him is perfectly okay.
Sorry. Just bs to say guys who fight at 160 can't make 155. If they can't then they are in the wrong division
It's bs to excuse a fighter who willfully bends an organization into breaking the rules they set to ensure boxing remains a somewhat dignified sport. WBC rules clearly state that a WBC belt holder can NOT force a mandatory to fight at a catchweight. Stop supporting corruption and Stop being a Hypocrite. Canelo fought at 154 for years without ever being able to drop as low as 150, much less 148.
Make no mistake I don't support canelo In this, but GGG can be the bigger man and make the fight happen. If your argument i that he can't make 155 then is say he's to big to fight mw, which by definition is 155 to 160. If he wants to be remembered as a great fighter he's got a signature win sitting right in front of him
Golovkin can make 155, missed the point there. Just saying a lot of people are going to feel dumb if Canelo decides fighting Golovkin at 160 is a better option than dropping the belt.
Me personally I don't even hate GGG I'm just not going to continuously give him passes after a certain point its just excuses. All this talk about people not wanting to fight him he could have been forced a fight but he is happy to step to the side. That is not the mark of a warrior, I'll watch any of his fights but this P4P so called great hell no.... Kova,Ward,Gonzalaz,Bradley etc those are P4P fighters who actually seek to prove there stature
Exactly then its just like salt on a wound when you see a GGG fan hating on a fighter who has moved up multiple weight classes to try to make a name fighting bigger and better fighters. While GGG is content with doing what he has been since Universum.
