    Crawford can vanish of the face of earth & still be known as the last Undisputed champion in boxing history, the
    more difficult it becomes the better. The compromises team GGG made for the Canelo fight to take place, could have been directed at Saunders & it would have worked if they wanted to lose $, but $ comes first. Saunders would have been happy to hand his belt to GGG if he had assurance from GGG to settle for a SD win & a small purse

    Nigel Collins' Pound For Pound Top 5 as of September 21, 2017
    http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/20775716/pound-pound-rankings-andre-ward-retires-new-no-1

    1. GGG
    2. Canelo
    3. Crawford
    4. Inoue
    5. Lomachenko

    Anyone who doesn't now have GGG at or near the top of the pound-for-pound rankings simply has no credibility as an analyst of the sport.

    Even Atlas -- possibly the most dedicated and consistent Golovkin hater in all serious boxing media -- has GGG at #5 now. And he scored Golovkin-Canelo as 118-110 GGG.

    Both ESPN and Ring have GGG as #1 PFP. And combined, they have about 22 voters for their lists.

    Lmao, again, majority of press row had it for GGG, but whatever helps you sleep at night.

    If I was GGG I would chase that Saunders fight like a madman now. As you said being undisputed means a lot in boxing and would surely place GGG as an ATG. I'd wager two convincing wins vs Canelo wouldn't do him as much good as beating Saunders

    Will be nice, but seems unlikely...

    GGG seems to be under the influence of people who want to secure his/their financial future (without doing harm to his legacy) vs Going undisputed.

    I think he will chase Canelo and Saunders fights, lets not forget Canelo is the fight he pushed for since 2014 or so. He will 100% fight Saunders either next or after he settles unfinished business with Canelo

    Not sure, but it will be nice if he can fight both. GBP might be open to a fair real fight in the future, if they see GGG showing his age, very smart of them securing the Draw first. Poor Saunders better not read these posts making him look like the guy holding the belt for others...

    I wonder if the fight was fixed well before it started and if both Canelo ans GGG were in on it. I just don't see what Canelo has to gain from a draw other than some respect, I wonder if Golovkin knew all about it and agreed first fight would be a draw and then 2nd would be a real fight without any corrupt judges.

    Canelo career will not mean anything, if he didn't face the only fight fans wanted. It would have been a promotional failure even a decade after GGG retires, ducking is unforgivable...Oscar did the impossible & succeeded

    GGG is still #1 in theory & practice, so no serious damage done...

    I don't defer to Collins' judgment alone, but The Ring's ratings when it was actually a group of well-informed writers as it was under his editorship. This is what gave rise to TBRB in the first place, and I happen to agree with their placement of Crawford at number 1.

    Everyone lost on this draw except the promoter and NSAC. Vegas lost big on the draw, starting at 30-1 down to 16-1 pay outs. They even refunded straight bets on GGG as they expected and felt he won. They refunded one bet 500K in chips lol. Again the only true winner is GBP, as they get a chance to promote the tie breaker and Vegas for hosting it.

    if I recall correctly, TBRB had a "Golovkin problem." That is, they seemed to serially underrate Golovkin. Much as Teddy Atlas did.

    For example, here are Ring/ESPN/TBRB rankings after GGG-Jacobs in March 2017:
    http://www.thesweetscience.com/feature-articles/32111-three-tribunals-new-pound-pound

    Ring ------> Ward/Kov/GGG/Chocolatito/Crawford
    ESPN -----> GGG/Ward/Lomachenko/Kov/Chocolatito
    TBRB -----> Ward/Kov/Chocolatito/Pacquiao/Crawford/GGG

    Two of the three organizations had GGG above Crawford, one did not.

    Two of the three organizations had GGG in their top 3, one did not.

    In the same piece, Teddy Atlas is cited as saying this when defending why he did not have GGG in his top 10 P4P list at the time:

    Maybe it's because TBRB is a relatively new organization with possibly some less-seasoned fight observers on its panel. Not sure. But they had that "Teddy Atlas problem" as regards Golovkin. It appeared fairly obvious, at least when I looked at their rankings in the past. And that kind of made me discount them as compared with ESPN and The Ring.

    But, giving credit where it is due, both Atlas and TBRB kind of got on-track as regards Golovkin after the GGG-Canelo fight. Atlas put GGG at #5 and TBRB put GGG at #2. Redemption can always be had, as it was in this case.

    Many people around the sport had a "Golovkin problem." For a variety of reason, I think.

    Fortunately, that problem has been solved now. It's a shame Golovkin had to wait this long in his career for things to be made right, but, it's good they did get made right.

    If TBRB wants to have Crawford above GGG while Ring/ESPN have Golovkin at #1, ok. At least Golovkin is in their top 2. That's acceptable. Golovkin at #6 or Golovkin not in the top 10 is not acceptable. That's either cluelessness or bias, with my guess being on the latter of the two.
