In my eyes derevyanchenko won by one round. I've always been a derevyanchenko fanboy posting many threads about him. Anyways , what I saw was amazing. GGG took so many shots and he never went down or was never close to getting stopped. No matter how u scored it . It was impressive as heck. Golovkins genetics are just amazing. Derevyanchenko threw so many punches at ggg but couldn't stop him. These are freak genetics right here.
I know Sergei had lost to Jacobs but for me this was the ' real ' , world middleweight title fight. Under normal circumstances 1. GGG v 2. Sergei and what a great fight, deserving of a ' true ' title fight.
Dervy isn't a hard hitter and GGG was moving away from a lot of the punches he was being hit with. Not sure how you watch that fight and come away thinking it was GGG who was the tougher out of the two. Dervy rarely backed off despite taking much harder blows from a much bigger puncher. Can't say the same for GG who fled and was hurt by a very light handed hitter.
