Regardless of weight, this is a huge step-up in class for GGG.

I've seen comparisons with Canelo/Khan and let me tell you something, this is NOTHING like that. Not only is it not at a ridiculous catchweight, this is a fight between 2 pound for pound fighters. Khan wasn't even a top 10 WW when Canelo fought him and also Brook doesn't have an awful Glass Jaw.

Brook will bring a lot of things that GGG hasn't seen before, and although I fully expect a GGG win it's hard not to root for the underdog here.

    Let's go!

The number 1 WW based on what? He isn't the number 1 WW, not based on h2h or resume.

GiGi The Bum King is fighting a guy whose best win was against a 5'5 midget 2 years ago, in which he eeked a close decision. Before that, he was going life and death with Carson Jones. After that, he's done nothing but fight 3 bums.

If you think Brook is a huge step up in class for GiGi then that's just sad.. :rofl His resume and division must be worse than people thought. :rofl:rofl:rofl

I'm a Brook fan, not sure why you are bashing GGG here.

I would say Brook h2h is definitely the top WW, I think you can only put Thurman above him and that's on resume. They are both definitely above Garcia and Bradley.

Brook vs Thurman is the fight I wanted to see, but I'm happy with this fight for Brook it will be a HUGE event in the UK.

Bradley, Danny Garcia and now Keith Thurman all have better resumes than Kell Brook. You can't say he's the best h2h either, based on what reasoning? Going life and death with Carson Jones?

Spence and Bradley both beat everyone at WW not named Floyd or Manny. Especially Spence, too big, too strong, too good.

How do you think Spence would do against Golovkin?

Spence is a WW contender, are you legitimately asking me this question?

Based on a combination of some rankings, resume and H2H.

He doesn't have the best resume at 147, not the second best or even the third best.

His only known win was eeking out a close UD against a 5'5 midget. He has done nothing before or after that. This was the only reason why the ring magazine had him ahead of everyone else after Mayweather and Pacquaio retired.

2 weeks ago, Keith Thurman beat his best win, the only saving grace at considering Brook number 1.

If you're using the Ring ratings as an example, then surely you must think that Canelo is the number 1 MW and Drozd(who hasn't fought in 14 months) as the number 1 CW?

As I said it's a combination of resume, H2H, how he is ranked and the eye test.

On paper. I personally don't think Thurman actually beat Porter.

The ring, Tbrb, public opinion (look at the poll results).

Not a balanced argument at all. For example I could say Garcia life and death with...almost everyone he's fought? Thurman didn't beat Porter as convincingly as Brook did, and was in trouble vs an old and shot Collazo.

    See how this works?

You shoot down Brook's resume, then you go on to mention Spence as someone who would beat everyone at WW. But when I suggested the same for Brook you said 'based on what?'

    Talk about agenda :hi:

Plus most of Garcia's resume consists of fights at 140.

I just find it odd that he slated Brook's resume, then mentioned Spence.

Not a balanced view at all.

Brook will look good for about 3 rounds, until the size disadvantage kicks him and he starts getting beat up and put out around round 6.
