GGG is the most versatile fighter since Marco Antonio Barrera

Name a fighter with more versatility than Golovkin since Barrera. Like MAB, Golovkin can tailor his fight plan to his opponent. They can box a puncher. Swarm a boxer. And punch a swarmer. They can do anything.

We saw how against a big puncher in Lemieux, Golovkin boxed him. And against the boxer Brook, Golovkin swarmed him. Perfect gameplans. Barrera did the same against the big puncher Hamed. And swarmed the boxer puncher Morales in the first fight and got robbed.

Both have good jabs. Fantastic body punchers. Best left hooks in the game. Can hurt you with either hand.

Golovkin is the real deal. A very complete fighter.

 

His lack of head movement I'd by design. It helps him keep balance. And his chin allows him to get away with it. His defense is not poor. When has he ever been rocked and hurt bad?

 

No dummy. Golovkin swarmed Brook and boxed Lemiuex. Two great and different gameplans executed perfectly.

 

No Ward can only fight one way. He's a pure boxer. He can't brawl. He can't pressure.

Crawford also prefers to box. Can't really pressure you. Doesn't have a big punch either.

With lighter punching Brook, Golovkin threw out the boxing and brawled.
