    I maintain, if GGG fights Martinez I'm willing to bet anyone on here that Gennady would put him to sleep.

    You're doing a large portion of the forum a disservice there. Bute was a 'god' to clowns who don't know boxing or let blatant fanboyism blind them to the truth. Same will happen with GGG. He's a solid fighter, but not special. He'll fail at elite level.

    Honestly, I'm not sure GGG would beat Chavez Jr right now, let alone Martinez.

    Maybe it's possible that rating him on one match alone is not good enough to determine the capacity of his talent. After Proksa he was a lock-in ATG and after Rosado he is a B- level bum. Too much premature ejaculation on either side, IMO.

    Uhm people do not become fans purely on skill level. How long have you been a sports fan? Or fan of any thing?

    That said GGG has enough skills and qualities to make him exciting and interesting. Who cares if people are declaring him some sort of a god. You know how good he is to you. Stop bashing the wagon. Just watch it, enjoy the ride and its eventual crash.

    GGG didnt like those uppercuts to the body last night...

    He stepped out everytime he got touched downstairs...

    Rosada lasted long enough to expose some serious flaws in GGG's game.

    Angulo blasted Rosado without getting touched..

    Mediocre as Martinez is.....he would have no trouble with GGG....nor would Chavez jr..:hi:

    Ive only seen a few of his fights but I like him.
    Good power, nice technique, good footwork. His defence is a lot better than people give him credit for as well.
    I'm not sure if he would take Martinezs straight left to the body well for a full 12 rounds though. I think him vs Chavez Jr is a toss up as well.
    Very exciting fighter when all is said and done

    NO he is not, while he is beatable like everyone is no one no one would just walk through him like Froch walked through Bute.

    yea well bute was fightin guys like brinkley an zuniga. old ass edision miranda. he had it comin when he stepped up in class.

    golovkin already fought proska and rosado his last 2 fites . u can tell golovkin wants to fight better opposition then bute.

    But who is there in division beside Martinez that can beat him, please dont say Quillin he has so many holes he would be knocked out for sure, he showed terrible flaws against french guy, i give slight chance to JCCjr(still think GGG KOs him) and i think Sergio would beat him no one else.

    Is take that bet. GGG got busted up by a Friday night fights level fighter and struggled with his movement. The only one seeing the canvas if he fights Martinez is GGG
