168lbs is within the light heavyweight limit. Ward Dawson technically can be considered a light heavyweight fight. This was the case for the Leonard Lalonde fight. Lalonde was the WBC 175lb champion. He fought Leonard @ 168lbs and his WBC 175lb title was on the line...

GGG might be great, but he has to step up his level of comp if he plans on being a ATG. As of right now I wouldn't put him in the top 100.

Aquamarine should be modded for the work he put in here and this glorious thread should be stickied forever

Respect to Nay Sayer for not quitting and letting this savage beat down continue. Shades of Maidana/Broner

    :thumbsup

No, dummy. Dawson didn't get to weigh in at the LHW limit of 175lbs.
The Ward fight was at the SMW LIMIT of 168lbs. That means both men had to weigh in at or under 168lbs(the SMW limit:rofl)
    It was a SMW fight.
Ward has his chance to make a real case for that precious p4p#1 spot he wants so bad, but he's not build like that.
He fought the LHW champ at 168lbs...a weight Dawson had not fought at for 6 years.(Here's where you spaz out about it being all Dawson's idea to fight at a weight he had not fought at for 6 f*cking years:rofl)

So was Leonard Lalonde - but that didn't stop Lalonde's WBC LHW title from changing hands, did it?

Are you really this ****ing clueless or is it an act?

Looks like you just took the opportunity to spaz out and make my argument for me. Thank you and congratulations on successfully completing the 3rd grade. Your moms must be proud. Lol..

How do you know he's good above at 164?. Hell how does anyone half sane even know he's good at 160 when all he's done is fight overly matched bums?.

Pavlik's rematch with Taylor was at 164. The only half drunken keyboard loser here is you. Now go on and enjoy watching GGG explode into the arena as a 150/1 favorite against yet another overly matched tomato can.

At least Pavlik was willing to go up in weight to challenge himself. The cowardly Triple Duck won't go up or DOWN in weight and continues to feed on a long line of tomato cans. Pavlik fought Hopkins at 170 and was willing to move up to fight Calzaghe. This is the opposite of the behavior of the Triple Duck. :-(

It's insulting enough that Pavlik has been retired since forever and his record still makes GGG look like a fraud.

:nod Too bad Pavlik had problems and had to retire. I think he would beat the **** out of Triple G. Of course Triple G would probably refuse to fight him.

Ggg has 10x the boxing ability, power, balance and more speed then Pavlik.

And yet Pavlik has the better resume.

    The irony of it all.

    Lol..
