ggg appears to be A++++ level fighting cans...and he still gets hit...plenty.

Pavlik didn't let scubs like Adama touch him:lol:

Kelly was a YOUNG champ...not an old pensioner playing sheriff of a dead division

Pavlik was a slow plodder with suspect athleticism and footwork. Completely different animal than GGG.

Kelly Pavlik is FOUR DAYS OLDER than Gennady Golovkin.

The month and year they were born is about the only thing they have in common.

Pavlik was a top middleweight for roughly two years. After that, he was a train wreck.

If you think they are the same, put Pavlik in the ring with Golovkin right now and see how comparable they are, if Kelly is sober enough to stand up.

At the same point in his career (10 years into his pro career), Pavlik was getting his head caved in by Sergio Martinez and eaking out a majority decision over Alfonso Lopez.

I wouldn't consider that BETTER than Golovkin right now.:patsch:roll:

    ESB = Forum of dums

Kelly Pavlik only win was Taylor and Miranda. Both who were good but far from excellent. Golovkin beats all three of them easy. How many rounds Pavlik needed with Rubio?

Golovkin whole career has been uphill battle because he´s so talented and he´s from Kazakstan. Some haters are throwing low ***** all the time, implaying he should have fight better comp. I don´t see how his resume could be any better that what he has already done. I made a list of 30 best MW during 2000-2016, the time when Golovkin was a man, competing with adult class. He went 345-5 as an amateur, 34-0 as a pro. Fight that didn´t happened, are due to ducking or timing.

There are only few fights that could have happened but didn´t. There are cases where it´s quite evident fighter or their promoter ducked GGG: Sylvester, Sturm, Quillin, Jacobs, Martinez and Barker. There are couple of fights that were cancelled due to a curcumstances: Pirog (injury) and Lee (family reasons).

Then there are some fights that never took place for some reason: Asikainen, Gevor, Soliman, N´Dam and P.Williams, but not a single one of those had any meaning resume wise. Then there is also Taylor, but that fight would be unethical.

In theory, both Abraham and Pavlik fights could have happened, but just in theory. For example Arthur Abraham fought his last MW fight march 2009 against Mahir Oral. Golovkin was 16-0 at the time. Fight could have been made, but it wasn´t very appealing scenario for Abraham and it lacked public demand.

In the future, there are still some fights to be made: Jacobs, Saunders, Lee, Quillin, Canelo and Eubank Jr. It just seems these guys don´t want no part of him. Hope HBO will make sure the fights will be made or boxing as a sport will decline even further.

    1. Bernard Hopkins (5/-1) (Timing)
    2. Sergio Martinez (6/0) (Evidence say he ducked GGG)
    3. Arthur Abraham (4/0) (In theory)
    4. Kelly Pavlik (1/-2) (In theory)
    5. Jermain Taylor (3/-1) (unethical match)
    6. Ronald Wright (1/-2) (?/Timing)
    7. Martin Murray (0/-3) (TKO9)
    8. Dmitry Pirog (2) (Cancelled due to an injury)
    9. Daniel Geale (3/-2) (KO3)
    10. Peter Quillin (1/-1) (Duck or promotional issues)
    11. David Lemieux (0/-1) (TKO
    12. Daniel Jacobs (1/-1) (Duck or promotional issues)
    13. Felix Trinidad (1/-2) (Timing
    14. William Joppy (1/-3) (Timing)
    15. Edison Miranda (0/-2) (Timing)
    16. Keith Holmes (0/-1) (Timing)
    17. Robert Allen (0/-1) (Timing)
    18. Chavez Jr.(1/-1) (Evidence say he ducked GGG)
    19. Felix Sturm (5/-3) (Evidence say he ducked GGG)
    20. Paul Williams (1/-1) (?)
    21. Andy Lee (0/-1) (Cancelled due to a family reasons)
    22. Khoren Gevor (1/-1) (?)
    23. Amin Asikainen (1/-2) (?)
    24. Darren Barker (1/-1) (Evidence say he ducked GGG)
    25. Javier Castillo (2/-2) (Timing)
    26. Mathew Macklin (0/-2) (KO3)
    27. Sebastian Sylvester (1/-2) (Evidence say he ducked GGG)
    28. Howard Eastman (0/-4) (Timing)
    29. Anthony Mundine (1) (Lacks public demand, a mismatch)

Sergio Martinez ducked Golovkin. And I don't see Alfonso Lopez providing much of a test for Golovkin (like he did for Pavlik).

it's just more Ward nut huggers trying to show people why they worship Andre "the injured" Ward. It's best to ignore them and find a real thread. :thumbsup

Martinez didn't duck GGG. GGG was a nobody who was beating nobody so he didn't deserve a shot at Martinez. Alfonso Lopez got whooped up and beat every round..:patsch

Of course he didn't. Instead, Martinez fought "cans" - as you described them - like Martin Murray and Matthew Macklin - until he lost to a super welter.

Brilliant. The Pavlik who lost to Martinez better than Golovkin right now. You're really standing by that?:patsch:rofl

Those wouldn't happen to be the same cans Martinez fought before GGG now would it?:think Martinez made them into cans and GGG recycled them!

And again Pavlik was tested, GGG's biggest test is One dimensional Lemieux. Sowwey:lol::patsch:rofl Cotto beat a Injury proned Martinez, everyone knows that.:deal:
