Golovkin's fought nearly 400 times as an amateur or pro and he hasn't been dropped. I don't view having a good chin as a negative, unless a guy gets beaten up in every fight and takes too much punishment over and over again as a result.

In a perfect world, Martinez would've fought Golovkin. Mayweather would've fought Golovkin. Cotto would've fought Golovkin. Alvarez would fight Golovkin.

Golovkin needs to beat the top fighters or he'll be just another middleweight champ in a long list of middleweight champs.

I hope he's tested someday, too. I wouldn't mind seeing him get in a trilogy of great fights with someone. Like I said, I don't care whether he wins or loses.

But I wouldn't rate him higher if he was humiliated by someone he was favored to beat (like Pavlik was a couple times).

Pavlik title reign was a joke then he got schooled off Hopkins and lost to a 154lb career fighter.

Pavlik was as basic fighter as they come. Left,right. Left,left,right.

Golovkin would brutalise Pavlik and any fighter that Pavlik faced excluding Hopkins. They hate by some of you bellend on here is shameful and the Mentality range isn't that high.

 

Losing every round to a future HOF fighter in Hopkins does not make a great record re****.
