That's three more fights than the Triple Duck has had @ 168. Call me when Bumlovkin comes off of his Bum of the Month Tour..

Obviously Pavlik has beaten better opposition than GGG up to this point. Pavlik had great potential to do a lot better. However his trainer and to a much greater extent his drinking/unhealthy lifestyle held him back.

It is not yet known how GGG will pan out. He seems mentally stable. He can box. I think however he will not do that great at 168 or even above as he is simply too short for those weight-classes. If he stays at 160 he will remain unbeaten for quiet some time.

    Very little similarity between them.

Pavlik was a 1-2 dispenser with length and solid power. That was enough to ram-jam his way to a title shot and dethrone the flawed Taylor. At the end of the day, however, Pavlik was pretty one-dimensional.

Golovkin is average sized for his division and possesses technical skill and versatility beyond Kelly's wildest dreams.

The only thing in common is both having KO power.

Several B-graders, which is pretty much the best his division has to offer at the moment?

Correct. One has beaten top level world class opposition and the other likes to knock over TOMATO CANs...

    ok IB.....

but why does ggg get to stay there and fight b-graders when floyd was always asked to prove his "greatness" by climbing and taking challenges? why does a 33 year old fighter get to stay put when his fans claim hes great?

    Really?

Several B graders? I think you're being a bit generous here. I'd say 1-2 B to B+ grade fighters with the rest being TOMATO CANs or reject zombie extras from the Walking Dead...

Golovkin's résumé now is no worse than was Pavlik's before he fought Taylor. (and lots of Taylor's shine came from having twice bested Hopkins; subtract that, and Pavlik twice besting him ceases to mean all that much... and many felt that Hopkins got unlucky in that rivalry at least once if not twice - or if not, that it was just a matter of styles make fights and not proof of Taylor being some ATG)

In fact, Golovkin's is a great deal better now than Pavlik's assemblage of high water marks pre-Taylor (Miranda, McKart, Zuniga, and Zertuche - being generous, similar tier guys to Golovkin's best wins except that GGG has roughly a dozen of them as opposed to Pavlik's four, plus a couple of current or former world titlists in Geale and Lemieux who automatically rank above those four) - and you could arguably say Golovkin's résumé ten years into his pro career is better than Pavlik's even at his own ten-year mark. By 2010 all Pavlik had added onto the four names above was Taylor x2, Gary freaking Lockett, Espino and Rubio - a name Golovkin also has on his résumé, with a much better h2h result. Taylor is obviously the best name of the bunch and by some distance, but do 2 wins over him plus Rubio, Miranda, McKart, Zuniga and Zertuche outweigh Geale, Murray, Rosado, Macklin, Lemieux, Monroe Jr., Rubio, Stevens, Proksa, Adama, Ouma, & Ishida? Even if you whitewash them all as B-graders that is still twelve B-graders against Pavlik's 4-5 (and really his, save Rubio, are more like B minus) plus a single A name he beat twice. Quantity of quality may offset highest point of quality in this case.

    Granted.

Unfortunately for Bumlovkinites, we don't live in that world. The fact of the matter is, Taylor beat Hopkins and Pavlik beat Taylor.

So who said Taylor was/is an ATG. His ATG status does NOT detract from the fact that he beat Hopkins TWICE. These are the facts.

Not fact, merely an opinion. What isn't up for debate is the FACT that Pavlik has beaten the better opposition.

NO. Not even close. Put down the Crack pipe. Bumlovkin has beaten NOBODY.

The Taylor wins are MILES ahead of anything Bumlovkin has ever done in his career.

Pavlik actually fought some guys who weren't tin cans. He would have beat the **** out of Little G.

You really need to put down the Crack pipe. No way in hell are all these guys to be considered B grade fighters. I would argue Murray and maybe Lemieux or Geale. MAYBE. That's IT. The rest are TOMATO CANs and reject zombie extras from the Walking Dead...
