It's not his promoter that's footing the bill when he's on HBO, it's the network. And I assure you whatever they pay is a lot more than all of these guys besides Chavez and Martinez are making. Why do you suppose Macklin took 75k to fight Alcine on a deep PPV undercard, when he could have challenged for the belt on HBO main event vs GGG, for 3 times the money?

i can promise you HBO isnt to blame for these garbage fights. Do you have a list of real offers to top 15 middleweights that said "no thanks"? other than GG saying he will fight anyone? its all a bunch of bull**** from everyone on both sides.
but the end result is a guy who will fight anyone in "3 divisions" fighting guys with 8 losses , almost 38 years old coming off back to back loses as well as being a lifetime junior middleweight contender :think
