Jacobs is very easy to like. Nice style, well spoken, and genuinely a nice guy. I get the holdup is more PBC's doings. Wouldn't be the first time PBC had their guy give up a belt instead of taking a fight.

Eailed Krassyuk while back seems he had drawn up an RTD deal for rights/options to Khurtsidze, possibly setting up a vacant title fight for him and Bursak should AK be bypass by BJS in favor of Yeller or GGG, and has possible skirmishes with Sauerland and SOLID paydays lined up, including potential fights with GGG if things went south in the manuevering.
He's BJS mandatory and could be asked by the WBO to fight another eliminator in which case K2 Europe would seek to snatch up and get the WBO on board with GGG while essentially paying both fighters and double sanctioning fees to simply force BJS hand, even if he is presented with the Yeller fight.

Cant remember exactly always agree not to quote due to context, but it seems AK is K2s backup plan and will be heavily rewarded should he step in for Jacobs and put his WBO International title on the line while K2 pays extra to make it a final eliminator as well for all the MWs except maybe one.

I'd personally prefer to see Jacobs sign on, get his shiit push in, but not losing his ranking, then see BJS choose payday vs GGG than an asswhoopin and no payday vs AK.

Then onto Yeller with all 5 major titles, a first in history, in Sept, CEJ in December and a all titlists with no titles on the line run vs the top SMWs and LHW agreeable to fair splits, CWs or rehydration clauses and all contingents on being a VADA certified fighter.

 

Hes got wins over 4 former world titlists, a couple wins vs multiple world title challengers, and several solid top 30ish type gatekeepers.

If it weren't for a certain Khazakh Good Boy, he has a valid argument for being the top dawg in the division.

I already consider him a star.
He just being overshadowed by a supernova that gobbles up entire solar systems.

If he were to BEAT GGG......superstar would be the more appropriate term. ELITE LEVEL.

 

All the 160 pretenders talk macho & call out Gennady but when they get called on to back up the big talk they turn into wimps & slither away eg. Pollo Canelo, Jacobs, Eubank jr & Billy Joe. They have every excuse in the book so they cannot fight. They all suffer from the same disease that plagued Floyd Joy Sinclair Mayweather jr its called Yellowstreakitus There doesn't seem to be any cure for it either

 

Even if Jacobs is the best without GGG it would only be temporary. There are some good guys on their way up like Derevyanchenko, Khytrov and Murata. Jacobs will also have to carry around the stink of that Pirog starching.
