Which is why I said GGG was a fool for turning down 15 million which was more than Canelo got to fight PBF. I knew this fight wouldn't do good numbers and he would get less after this fight. I bet Oscar is somewhere laughing his ass off right now.

    I think it'll be big, I don't see it beating out Canelo/Cotto which pulled 900,000 I believe.
Chavez doesn't have all of Mexico behind him how Cotto had PR behind him. I think it will be comparable to that number however. Either way, if the numbers are true for Golovkin, he is now in a worse bargaining position than he was before the fight, I can see Oscar's shrewd arse lowering the $15 Mil offer to $10 Mil now. *shrugs*

Cotto Martinez did 4.7 million at the Garden
    So definitely decent gate numbers!

Guaranteed purses for that fight were 9 million Cotto 6 million Martinez, total 15 million
    GGG 2.5 Jacobs 1.75 total 4.25. Million.
Gate plus 6 million PPV revenue I'm sure they covered everything and made some extra change

This was exactly my thoughts as well. I would not be 1 bit surprised if they offered him less.

That's what some people don't understand. It isn't simply the numbers that dictate a successful PPV, it's whether it made or lost money. A few of floyd's last fights sold big, but STILL lost money due to purse requirements. 3G v Lemieux sold 150K, but that made a little bit of money. Sure, numbers were below what they wanted, but a positive return is still a positive return.

If he fights Saunders and wins it is only going to strengthen his position. He would be only the 3rd guy in History to unify all 4 belts. All this is contingent on Canelo getting past Chavez Jr. which isn't a given unless it is up to Oscar's judges you know the same ones that scored the Mayweather fight a 114-114 Draw........

Nah the Saunders fights won't help his case. Saunder's is even a more unknown here than Jacobs is. This was his only chance to get more money. But yeah if somehow JCC Jr beats Canelo we won't be talking about Canelo-GGG anyway we'll be talking about JCC Jr-GGG.

Did he actually turn it down Pimp? I keep seeing posters say that he declined 15 mill. But there's nothing on him declining the offer.

That's better than I expected. I thought it would be around the 100K his last PPV did. If Canelo-Chavez doubles that you can bet DLH will be using the A-side card even more.
