Much as I like Loma, it is the same convoluted logic which leads people like the thread starter to overlook the fact that a Rigondeaux fight could have been on the table, which would have been the best one of all. The reason that fell through was because of Team Loma's unwillingness to accept either a catchweight or a rehydration clause. Only on this board can the guy willing to compromise to make a superfight be slated, yet the guy who won't fight without the dice loaded in his favour be held up as some kind of paragon of virtue.

Its easy to move up in weight but more difficult to move down. The logical path is to fight Canelo now, then move up to SMW unless there's a rematch with Canelo in the cards.
